Update on Plans for WWE Bad Blood Main Event – WWE Bad Blood is shaping up to be a star-studded event, and recent reports indicate which match is expected to close the show.
Scheduled for the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, the assumption was that Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes would headline the event. However, some confusion arose when USA Network published an article suggesting that the Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre would take the main event spot. Given the ongoing feud between Punk and McIntyre, this matchup certainly has the star power to headline.
According to Fightful Select, as of the time Rhodes and Roman Reigns were filming their segment at Georgia Tech, the internal plan was for their tag team match against The Bloodline to close the premium live event. Rhodes hails from the area, and Reigns’ ties to Georgia Tech—where he was named First-Team All-ACC during his football career—also played a role in this decision.
While plans can always change, the buzz is that this exciting tag team match is currently set to be the final bout of the evening.
