Tony Khan Addresses AEW’s TV Future in Surprise Appearance for Chicago Crowd – At the conclusion of Friday’s episodes of AEW Collision and Rampage, AEW President Tony Khan made a surprise appearance in front of the live crowd in Chicago. After the cameras stopped rolling, Khan hinted at exciting news regarding AEW’s television future. “I feel pretty good to say that AEW on TBS and TNT, I think, is here to stay,” he told the fans, sparking speculation about an imminent new TV deal.
Khan has been consistently optimistic about negotiations with Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) as AEW’s current contract approaches its expiration at the end of this year. During the media call ahead of All Out, he mentioned that the deal is in the “red zone” and predicted a “huge touchdown” for AEW, which currently airs Dynamite on TBS and Collision and Rampage on TNT. Notably, Khan also met with WBD head David Zaslav in Paris during the Olympic Games, further fueling speculation of a major agreement on the horizon.
AEW is also gearing up for All Out this Saturday in Chicago, marking its second pay-per-view event in just three weeks, following the successful All In at Wembley Stadium.
