Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes Team Up at WWE Bad Blood; Nia Jax Set to Defend – Roman Reigns will team up with Cody Rhodes to face Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at WWE Bad Blood. The match was set up on the September 13th Premiere episode of WWE SmackDown. After Cody defeated Solo in a cage match, he was ambushed by Bloodline Junior (Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu) until Roman Reigns made the save.
Later, Solo and Fatu approached WWE official Nick Aldis to propose a tag team match for WWE Bad Blood, which was quickly made official. Initially, Cody said he was done with the Bloodline, but after a brawl with Tama and Tonga in the closing segment, he changed his mind. Both Cody and Roman signed the contract for the match after fending off the WWE Tag Team Champions.
During his promo, Roman said that whether he has the ula fala or not, he is the Tribal Chief. He said he’s not just the Original Tribal Chief, he’s the Only Tribal Chief. He said that no one should get it confused because this is his ring, his show, and his WWE.
Roman was interrupted by Cody, who said it was Roman’s WWE, but it hasn’t been since WrestleMania XL.
Additionally, Nia Jax will defend her WWE Women’s Title at Bad Blood. Her opponent will be determined on the September 20th episode of SmackDown, where she and Tiffany Stratton will team up to face Bayley and Naomi. If Bayley and Naomi win, whoever scores the pin will challenge Jax. If Nia and Stratton win, the losing member of Bayley’s team will be forced to leave SmackDown.
