MVP Debuts at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam

MVP Debuts at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam – Former WWE Star MVP made a surprising debut at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, interrupting Prince Nana during an update about Swerve Strickland. Nana was addressing the crowd, noting that while Swerve is recognized as “the most dangerous man in AEW,” he is currently unable to compete due to not being cleared after his loss at AEW All Out.

As Nana began to engage the audience by asking, “Whose House?”, MVP made his entrance. He reintroduced himself to the New York crowd and affirmed Swerve’s status as a formidable competitor, highlighting his impressive achievements in the ring. However, MVP also addressed the aftermath of Swerve’s recent match against Hangman Page, criticizing management for allowing Swerve to suffer a setback. He claimed that while Swerve’s loss might appear as a failure, it was actually a failure on the part of management, who he accused of focusing on trivial matters instead of their wrestlers’ well-being.

MVP then urged Nana to pass along his business card to Swerve, indicating that he’s ready to discuss opportunities and collaborations in the future.

MVP’s AEW debut swiftly follows previous reporting that fellow Hurt Business members in WWE, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley, had been in negotiations to join the promotion. MVP’s Totally Harmless Concept LLC has also filed to trademark “The Hurt Syndicate,” which only adds to the idea that they could be soon to follow.

MVP’s departure from WWE this past summer after his contract expired has led to speculation about his next steps in wrestling. Notably, he is also scheduled to compete against Josh Barnett at Bloodsport in November.

Swerve Strickland has been sidelined since his brutal match against Hangman Page, where he was knocked out in a Lights Out Steel Cage match at AEW All Out. This unexpected appearance from MVP adds an intriguing layer to Swerve’s storyline and the potential for new alliances in AEW.
