Mercedes Mone sounds excited to watch “Mr. McMahon” on Netflix.
The TBS Champion was on WFAN Sports Radio in New York today promoting tomorrow’s AEW Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium. During the interview, Mone was asked what “the buzz” is about the documentary backstage.
“Well, I haven’t been talking to anyone. I stay in my locker room, I stay in my lane but all I do know, I’m going to grab a blunt, I’m going to get some wine, and I’m going to be watching some Netflix. I can’t wait,” Mone said.
When asked about “the blunt” she planned to enjoy before watching the show, Mone responded, “Yeah, I’m Snoop Dogg’s cousin. It’s in my blood. It runs in my veins.”
She later added, “I’m a professional wrestler and THC helps me with my inflammation so much, and my inspiration.”
“It helps me recover,” she continued.
Mone was also asked during the interview if she’d assumed a mentorship role since signing with AEW.
“I definitely lead by example,” she responded. “People definitely see what I do and follow what I do. I don’t have to go out there and be like, ‘I’m the leader, I’m the locker room leader or I’m this and that.’ People just see my presentations and how I walk into work and how I leave work and they want to emulate that.”
