Jonathan Coachman Calls AEW ‘Lazy’ After ‘Disgusting’ Spots at AEW All Out – Jonathan Coachman shared strong criticism of AEW’s All Out during an appearance on Gabby AF with Gabby LaSpisa. Focusing on the extreme violence in the Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Adam Page Unsanctioned Lights Out Cage Match, where chairs, a staple gun, a hypodermic needle, and other brutal weapons were used, Coachman called the hypodermic needle spot “disgusting” and said it demonstrated AEW’s “laziness.”
He emphasized how concerning it was for children, especially those in the front row, to be exposed to such graphic content: “It’s not a movie. It’s a real-life movie, and these are real things with kids in the front row watching it in real time.” He further criticized AEW’s storytelling, arguing that the company resorts to extreme violence instead of developing more compelling narratives: “When you can’t write a story good enough that you have a hypodermic needle inside somebody’s mouth — it was disgusting.”
Coachman also revealed that Tony Khan, AEW’s president, makes decisions based on social media fan reactions, stating, “I know for a fact that he does that. So he’s listening to these scrubs and these marks who think they know what they’re talking about.”
Regarding the suffocation angle between Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson, Coach expressed fear that such scenes could inspire dangerous behavior in young viewers. “I’m waiting for — and I hate to say this — the story that comes out that some 9-year-old kid suffocates his brother because they’re playing in the backyard, and he saw Bryan Danielson do it.”
