Intercontinental Title Match Set for 9/23 WWE RAW – Jey Uso is set to challenge for the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the September 23 episode of WWE RAW. Uso secured his opportunity after winning a four-way Number One Contender’s Match on the September 9 edition of RAW, defeating Braun Strowman, Ilja Dragunov, and Pete Dunne. Before that, he overcame Karrion Kross and Kofi Kingston to advance to the finals. WWE later confirmed that Uso will face Bron Breakker for the championship.
On the September 16 episode of RAW, Jey Uso stepped into the ring and confidently discussed his goal of capturing his first singles title. However, Breakker interrupted, boasting that he had accomplished more in six months as a singles star than Uso had in his 14-year career. Breakker also taunted Uso by claiming he was nothing without his family.
Uso quickly fired back, reminding Breakker that he was winning championships while Breakker was still “in diapers.” He further mocked Breakker’s brief NFL career, implying that his title reign might be just as short. The tension reached its peak when Breakker, visibly angered, took off his jacket and threw a punch at Uso. Bron went for his signature Warp Spear, but Jey countered with a spear of his own, leaving the champion reeling ahead of their high-stakes encounter.
