El Hijo del Vikingo Set to Return to In-Ring Action Soon – El Hijo del Vikingo, the high-flying lucha star, is set to make his in-ring return after being sidelined due to a torn meniscus. Vikingo first made a significant impact in AEW last March, putting on a thrilling match against Kenny Omega on Dynamite. He continued to build his reputation with notable performances in AEW, ROH, and AAA, with his last AEW appearance being a fatal four-way match on the January 24th episode of Rampage, where Komander earned a shot at the International Title.
Vikingo’s injury occurred earlier this year during a match at AULL Rencor Extremo, where he teamed with Psycho Clown and Wotan in a losing effort against Demonio Infernal, Fresero Jr, and Trauma I. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting his return to action. Dave Meltzer has reported that Vikingo is targeting September 27 for his comeback, just in time for an AAA event on September 29. Additionally, Vikingo is scheduled for a three-date tour in Spain in November.
While his AEW return remains uncertain, Vikingo’s recovery and imminent return to AAA action suggest it won’t be long before fans see him back in an AEW ring. His high-energy style and ability to deliver breathtaking performances have made him a fan favorite, and his return is highly anticipated.
