Backstage News on Shinsuke Nakamura’s Absence – Shinsuke Nakamura has been noticeably absent from WWE television since his last match on April 22nd, where he put over Sheamus on WWE Raw. While he hasn’t been part of televised matches since, he has remained active in non-televised events, including dark matches and house shows. Most recently, Nakamura was part of WWE’s European tour in late August, where he competed in fatal four-way matches alongside Ludwig Kaiser, Ilja Dragunov, and LA Knight for the U.S. Title, though he was unsuccessful in those efforts.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has provided insight into Nakamura’s situation, confirming that the Japanese star is healthy and fully capable of competing. However, WWE has not been using him on television, despite his continued involvement in overseas tours and live events. Nakamura remains ready, but for reasons that haven’t been publicly explained, WWE is simply not featuring him on their shows at this time. Fans continue to await news of when Nakamura might make his return to WWE programming.
