Backstage News on AJ Styles’ WWE Status – After WWE Bash in Berlin, the company shifted its focus to preparing for the upcoming Bad Blood premium live event on October 5th. Fans have been speculating about the return of AJ Styles, who has been noticeably absent from television since his loss to Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at Clash at the Castle in June.
Since then, Styles has kept busy by appearing at a Pro Wrestling NOAH event and hosting shows during WWE’s Japan tour in July and the European tour in August. There were initial plans for him to return on an early August episode of SmackDown, but WWE decided against it, feeling the timing wasn’t right. At one point, it was rumored that Styles would be back ahead of Bash in Berlin, but that didn’t happen either.
According to a report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, AJ Styles is healthy but has not been utilized on WWE TV for undisclosed reasons. As of now, there’s no confirmed date for his return to television.
In June, AJ Styles also discussed the possibility of his return to TNA during a crossover event between WWE and TNA. While Styles noted that crossovers between the two promotions could benefit both sides, he made it clear that his potential return to TNA was a possibility he hadn’t ruled out. He emphasized that it could be especially beneficial for younger talent to step into the ring with veterans who bring different wrestling styles and experience.
