AEW Drops PPVs from Bleacher Report – The era of AEW pay-per-views on Bleacher Report has officially come to an end. During AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, lead commentator Excalibur provided clarification on the shift, revealing that starting with the upcoming AEW WrestleDream in October, streaming pay-per-view events will no longer be available through Bleacher Report. Instead, fans will now have the option to stream AEW’s PPVs on Triller, YouTube, and PPV.com.
This announcement follows an earlier interview with AEW President Tony Khan, in which he mentioned that B/R Live was “sunsetting,” though at the time, he did not specify what exactly that entailed. The migration of previously purchased AEW PPVs from Bleacher Report is expected to transition to Triller, which was formerly known as FITE and currently offers past pay-per-view events in bundled packages.
This move is the latest development in AEW’s ongoing TV rights negotiations with Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), which owns Bleacher Report. The decision to expand AEW’s pay-per-view availability beyond Bleacher Report had been made earlier in the year, with AEW Dynasty marking the first time that the company’s streaming PPVs were offered on platforms outside of B/R. Now, with Bleacher Report exiting the scene, AEW continues to adapt its distribution strategy as it negotiates its broader media rights with WBD.
