9/6 AEW Collision Results – We are live from the NOW Arena in Chicago, IL, for this special Fryday’s episode of AEW Collision airing Head-to-Head with WWE SmackDown.

Mark Briscoe vs. Lance Archer

Mark Briscoe was making his way to the ramp when he was attacked from behind by Archer. Archer tossed him down the ramp and into the barricade. Briscoe got to his feet and fought back before Archer threw him into the ring. The bell finally rang.

At some point, Briscoe started to bleed from near his eye. Briscoe bounced off the ropes to attempt to take Archer down. Archer held the ropes down to sent Briscoe flying. He then threw him into the barricade and continued to batter him. Archer rolled under the ropes to break the count. He sent Briscoe into the barricade once again. Archer went for a cannonball, but Briscoe moved. He threw a chair in the ring and launched himself onto Archer, who was still on the outside. He took off his bloodied shirt and choked his opponent. Briscoe got in some offense, but Archer powerbombed him.

After the break, Briscoe was in the corner and fought back. Archer sent Briscoe to the floor again. Archer choked him against the ring. Briscoe poked him in the eye, so he struck him and slammed him on the apron. He tried a second time, but Briscoe chopped him. He followed with a flipping neckbreaker off the apron. Briscoe with a Death Valley Driver. He went up top and connected with a Froggy Bow, but only for two. Briscoe set up for a Jay Driller, but Archer blocked it. Archer with a chokehold. Briscoe chopped him a few times. Briscoe bounced off the ropes, but Archer took him down and then threw him into the turnbuckle. Archer with a ripcord. He put Briscoe on the top turnbuckle where they fought before Briscoe pushed him off. Briscoe connects with a Froggy Bow for one. Archer flipped him off. Briscoe with a sliding lariat and another Froggy Bow for the win.

Winner: Mark Briscoe

Backstage, The Learning Tree were cutting a promo. The camera panned down to show that Chris Jericho had taken out ISHII with a chair. 

Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Iron Savages

In an unannounced match, Iron Savages were already in the ring with Jacked Jameson. Boulder and Gibson start us off. Gibson took him to the mat and teed off on him. Drake tagged in and they double teamed Boulder. Drake punched Boulder several times and tagged in Gibson. They tried to double team him, but he flipped both of them. Bronson got on Boulder’s shoulder, but Drake took Boulder down. GYV double teamed Boulder and sent him to the outside.

Bronson send Drake to the outside. He hit Gibson several times and took him down. He put Gibson on his shoulders, but Gibson tagged in Drake. They double teamed Bronson again for Grit Your Teeth for the win.

Winner: Grizzled Young Veterans

Following the match, FTR came down to the ring to get physical. Gibson was sent to the outside. Jacked Jameson raised the hands of FTR and then they put him in the Shatter Machine.

Orange Cassidy vs. Bryan Keith

Cassidy spoke to Lexy Nair before the match and is not pleased with Jericho taking out ISHII and said he’ll punch Keith in the face.

Cassidy took his time getting ready and went for an Orange Punch. He sent him to the outside with a dropkick and hit Keith with three tope suicidas. Cassidy threw Keith into the barricade. He rolled in the ring and chopped him. He did it again and hit him in the throat. Keith was waiting the third time and blocked it. Cassidy sent him into the barricades twice end to end. Keith slammed Cassidy’s hand onto the steel steps before doing it again on the other side. Keith took him down with a big boot.

After the break, Keith was trying to keep Cassidy from putting his hands in his pockets. He did it anyway and took him down with two dropkicks before kicking him in the corner. He finished with a running dropkick.

Keith tried to suplex Cassidy, but Cassidy blocked it. Keith blocked the Beach Break. Cassidy with a running knee. Keith with a suplex. Cassidy went up top and Keith punched him before joining him. Cassidy elbowed him in the back and pushed him off. Keith threw him into the turnbuckle. Keith with a Tiger Driver. Cassidy was writhing in pain.

Keith focused on his right arm. Cassidy with an inside cradle and went for an exploder, but was blocked. Cassidy with Stundog Millionaire and Beach Break for two. Cassidy followed with an Orange Punch, but was blocked. Keith with a knockout knee for two. Cassidy connects with an Orange Punch and a DDT. Cassidy went up top for a tornado DDT and got the win.

Winner: Orange Cassidy

After the match, Jericho was waiting by Cassidy’s locker room. He took his backpack and said he’d keep until he got the $7,000 he claims Cassidy owes him.

The Outrunners (w/ Erica Leigh) vs. Davey Bang and August Matthews

Bang and Truth start us off. Bang hit Truth in the back, who sent him to the corner. He took down Bang. Turbo with an elbow off the top rope. Matthews tagged in and was double teamed by The Outrunners. They did a double hip toss and clothesline. Turbo tagged in and they double teamed Bang with the Total Recall for the win.

Winner: The Outrunners

Konosuke Takeshita vs. The Beast Mortos

Don Callis is on commentary. Takeshita shoved his opponent and then pushed his face. Mortos went for a shoulder tackle. Both men went for a lariat. Mortos kicked Takeshita in the corner. Takeshita sent Mortos to the outside and connected with tope con hilo. Takeshita sent him into the barricade. He rolled into the ring to break the count and hit Mortos with a forearm and sent him into a chair. He sent Mortos back into the ring.

Takeshita got on the apron and Mortos slapped him so hard he fell off the apron. Mortos followed with a tornillo. Mortos put Takeshita back in the ring. Takeshita sent him over the corner. They exchanged right hands before going up top. Takeshita with a superplex.

After the break, Mortos took Takeshita down and then followed with a headbutt. Mortos with a backbreaker and Death Valley Driver. Takeshita with a German Suplex and a Raging Fire Takeshita put Mortos on the turnbuckle before joining him. Mortos threw him off the top and covered him. Takeshita with a German release, but Mortos followed with a spear. Takeshita with a discus lariat. They headbutt each other at the same time. Mortos put him on his shoulders, but Tskeshita dumped him and hit him with a running knee. Takeshita with a Raging Fire for the win.

Winner: Konosuke Takeshita

Hikaru Shida vs. Deonna Purrazzo

They start with a lockup. Purrazzo backed her into the corner and laid in kicks. An Irish Whip sent Purrazzo to the corner, but not for long. The women tried pinning the other. Shida with an underhook and kicks to the midsection. Shida followed with a lariat. Shida was punching her in the corner, but Purrazzo carried her to the middle. They take turns sending each other face first into the turnbuckle with Purrazzo getting several more in.

After the break, Purrazzo was working the arm of Shida. Shida laid in forearms before Purrazzo sent her to the corner. Shida used the turnbukcle for a dropkick, but landed on the elbow. In the opposite corner, Shida rained down punches. Shida with a running knee for two.

Shida went up top, but Purrazzo moved out of the way. Purrazzo locked in the Fujiwara armbar. Shida rolled through. Purrazzo slammed her down and went for a powerbomb, but Shida stopped it. Shida with a submission attempt. Purrazzo slapped her and they exchanged pump kicks. Shida with a Falcon Arrow, but Purrazzo kicked out at two. Shida with a katana for the win.

Winner: Hikaru Shida

After the match, Mercedes Moné came down the ramp. While Shida was distracted, Kamille attacked her from behind. Moné accidentally hit Kamille with a kendo stick. Shida hit the champ with a katana. Kamille helped her to the back.
