9/17 NXT Results – We take a look at highlights from last week. We then see Ava in the middle of the ring ready for Ethan Page and Trick Williams contract signing.
Ava says that they are on the way for NXT in Chicago and St. Louis.
Ava says Sexxy Redd will be back for NXT in St. Louis. Randy Orton will compete on that show.
On October 1st, CM Punk will be in Chicago. Wes Lee and Zach Wentz will meet in a Street Fight. There will be an episode of MizTV. Roxanne Perez faces Giulia for the NXT Women’s Championship. Ethan Page defends his NXT Men’s Championship against Trick Williams.
Ava asks for Trick Williams to make his way to the ring first.
Trick wants to get to business. He says he is in pain and he is hurt. He went to war last week and he says that Pete Dunne is . . . still a butch. Trick says Ethan tried to keep a brother down but Trick says he is the last man standing. In two weeks, on the CW, in Chicago, history will be made when he beats Ethan for the title.
Ethan Page makes his way to the ring.
Ethan wants to know why they stopped chanting for Trick or doing the dance. Ethan says he will be Booker T while they chant.
Trick says they don’t like it.
Ethan compliments Trick and says he has every right to be confident. He says he is not Pete Dunne. Page says he is Trick’s kryptonite. He says he has the receipts to back it up and he says the biggest one is the title belt.
They all sit down.
Trick says since Ethan stole the title from him, all of the running stops when they meet in Chicago.
Ethan asks Trick if he stole that title belt. Ethan says he didn’t steal nothing. He says he earned it. He says he won this. Do you want to know what he remembers most the night he won. It was the facial expression on everyone’s face when the referee made the three count. He says he didn’t steal nothing. October first, you are going to have the look of disappointment on your face. You don’t have Ethan Page figured out. What won’t end is the Era of Ego.
Trick asks Ethan if he is crazy and no one is feeling NX-Me. The NX-Me era will be over on October 1st.
Page with an Ego’s Edge through the table.
Page takes his title belt and he tells Ava this place is falling apart with her as GM.
Page leaves the ring without signing the contract.
– We take a look at Hammerstone against Oba Femi from last week.
We see Tony talking to Hammerstone after the match and he tells Hammerstone when he gives him an envelope full of money he needs to do the job. Tony tells Hammerstone he is going to ask for a rematch. Hammerstone says no to Tony. Tony asks Hammerstone if he knows what happens when you say no to Tony. Hammerstone suggests that Tony take care of Oba. Tony says maybe he will take care of Hammerstone.
We go to commercial.
– We are back and Stevie and Stone walk with Ava and she says that she would love for a contract signing to go well and it might have worked if her surprise came out. Je’Von Evans and Cedric Alexander show up and Evans asks for a shot in St. Louis and Ava does not say no.
Lyra Valkyria & Tatum Paxley vs. Wendy Choo & Rosemary
Rosemary and Tatum start things off and they go head to head before locking up and Tatum sends Rosemary to the mat and they scream. Rosemary with a knee and waist lock take down. Tatum flips over into a front face lock. Lyra tags in and Lyra with a leg sweep and double elbow drop. Tatum tags in and she goes up top and htis a double sledge to the arm. Rosemary with a rollup for a near fall and Wendy tags in. Tatum with an O’Connor Roll for a near fall and Choo gets a near fall with a rollup. Tatum with a body scissors and she spins Wendy around on the mat. Tatum with a drop kick and cross body into the corner. Lyra tags in and connects with a head butt into the corner. Wendy sends Lyra to the mat and she tags in Rosemeary. Tatum blocks a double suplex and they hit a double drop kick. Lyra and Tatum with stereo drop kicks through the ropes.
We are back and Tatum with forearms but she misses an enzuigiri. Rosemary tags in and Wendy with a German suplex. Rosemary wtih a side Russian leg sweep while Wendy hits a shoulder tackle and Rosemary gets a near fall. Tatum with an enzuigiri and Wendy tags in and she stops Tatum from making the tag. Tatum avoids a kick and tags in Lyra. Lyra with forearms and kicks to both women. Lyra iwth a Northern Lights suplex to Wendy for a near fall. Tatum tags in and hits a back breaker followed by a leg drop off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Rosemary sends Lyra to the floor and Rosemary with a short arm clothesline. Tatum gets Wendy on her shoulders but Wendy escapes. Tatum goes up top and Wendy follows.
Tatum with a head butt to Wendy but Rosemary tags in. Wendy with a superplex and Rosemary with a shoulder tackle and Tatum gets her foot on the rope. They set for a side Russian leg sweep and shoulder tackle combination but Lyra trips Wendy. Tatum with Psycho Trap to Rosemary followed by a leg drop off the turnbuckles from Lyra for the three count.
Winners: Tatum Paxley and Lyra Valkyria
– Sarah goes to the trainer’s room and Ava says that the contract will be signed. Trick says he will sign the contract tonight.
– Tony D’Angelo WALKS in back. Hammerstone does the same.
We go to commercial.
– We are back and Charlie Dempsey tells Tavion Heights that he made a name for himself in Japan and impressed him. He says that he wants Tavion and Myles to take over the tag division. Wren butts in and Charlie says if she is going to be part of the group, she needs to make a name for herself. Wren chops Charlie and says she is ready.
Hammerstone vs. Tony D’Angelo
They lock up and Hammerstone backs Tony into the corner but Tony with punches on the break. Tony with an Irish whip but Hammerstone with a clothesline out of the corner. They lock up and Tony with a side head lock. Hammerstone tosses Tony aside to get out of the hold.
We see Oba Femi STANDING in LOCKER ROOM.
They lock up and Tony wti a waist lock and a belly-to-belly suplex followed by a second one and a spinebuster. Hammerstone with punches and a clothesline followed by a back elbow. Hammerstone runs Tony into the corner and connects with shoulders and a chop. Hammerstone with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot. Hammerstone with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Tony rolls to the floor to rethink his strategy.
Oba LEAVES LOCKER ROOM.
Tony takes the referee’s ten count.
Winner: Hammerstone (by count out)
After the match, Tony keeps walking away and the other members of FAMILY are confused.
Zachary Wentz shows up and he says he has something to show everyone. He says him and Trey were supposed to challenge for the tag titles but this happened.
We see footage from the Most Dangerous Parking Lot in Dayton, Ohio where Wes Lee brutally attacked Trey Miguel.
Wentz says he doesn’t know how long Trey will be out. He says that Wes is an absolute piece of garbage. You went to Trey’s home town and . . . can you deal with them moving on? Are you still bitter that he beat you Wes at No Mercy. You will get everything you deserve in Chicago. If you thought losing at No Mercy was embarrassing, what he puts you though in Chicago will be ten times worse. It ends in Chicago.
– Ava is in OFFICE and she talks to Tyrese Haliburtion about the contract and he says he will get it done. Stevie doubts it will work and Stone says Tyrese can do it. Tyrese tells Ava he will get it done.
Back to commercial.
– Sarah is with Jacy and she asks about facing Lola after their confrontations. Jacy says you can handle things like a regular person or you can complain about it. Lola acts like she is bigger than she is. Sarah asks about Jaida and Fallon says they took care of her. They say that this is their division. Jacy says that Kelani has been ducking them.
– Lola is in LOCKER ROOM and she is angry. Brinley talks about Fatal Influence. Jaida shows up and she tells Lola she better not have her name in her mouth. Lola says that she has them tonight and she tells Jaida she can deal with them when she is finished with them.
Ashante Thee Adonis vs. Eddy Thorpe
Adonis attacks Eddy before the bell with a splash and he kicks Thorpe.
The referee starts the match and Adonis misses a splash. Eddy with chops and kicks. Eddy with a DDT. Adonis with a punch to the throat and he chokes Eddy in the ropes. Adonis with punches and knees. Eddy with punches and Adonis with a knee. Adonis with a back elbow. Eddy with a chop and Adonis with a punch. They go back and forth and Adonis with knees and a punch. Eddy with a back elbow and forearms. Adonis with a double thrust to the throat. Eddy and Adonis exchange forearms. Eddy with a kick and back elbow. Adonis with a spinning back heel kick but Eddy with an enzuigiri and both men are down.
Eddy with a waist lock and Adonis with elbows. Eddy with a kick and Adonis sends Eddy to the apron. Adonis kicks Eddy off the apron and Adonis comes off the turnbuckles and connects with Eddy. Eddy goes up top and he misses an elbow drop. Eddy with an Impaler DDT for the three count.
Winner: Eddy Thorpe
Back to commercial.
– We go to Chase University. Thea says that Ridge gave them the biggest wake up call. They wanted to prove that everyone got Ridge wrong and that they told you so, not the other way around. The way you broke Mr. Chase and hurt Duke. You also broke her heart. Riley says that he hates that him and Duke were right. You think you can treat Thea like this? We welcomed you with open arms and you showed who you are. Riley says he will make it right for everyone so they can get Ridge out of their lives once and for all.
– CM Punk makes his way to the ring.
Punk says he is in a different mood than last night. He says he wanted to get the business out of the way on Raw and he wants to have some fun tonight.
He says he has never been in this ring before with the fans and it feels cool. Punk says he would sneak into the building to watch matches when he was rehabbing. He says it is hard to hide and watch the show. He says he appreciates the blood, sweat, and tears of everyone who is in the ring and he appreciates watching the development of these superstars of the future. Punk says he is scouting because one day they are rubbing elbows with him and then they are going to be bumping elbows with them.
He mentions Lexis King and then says Carmelo Hayes is tearing it up on Smackdown. He mentions Ethan Page. He says he will soon be standing across the ring from Bron Breakker.
Punk mentions Je’Von Evans and he says he has t-shirts older than Je’Von Evans. Punk says Shawn Michaels called him up and he mentions that he was told the debut on CW was going to be in Chicago. Punk says he begged to be part of it and then Shawn Michaels told him that he could do whatever he wants on the show. Punk says he has an idea.
Roxanne Perez makes her way to the ring.
Roxanne apologizes for interrupting him and she will let him make his big announcement about Giulia. She says 13 year old her would be freaking out sharing the ring with her favorite wrestler in the world. She says Punk is one of the reasons she is in WWE. She followed in Punk’s footsteps. She says Punk was her voice. She says that she always preferred Punk’s wife. She says she was happy when Punk returned at Survivor Series. Now you are here. She tells Punk that she finally realized that she should have been a Drew McIntyre fan. She says she knows why Punk is here. You want one last moment of glory before Drew ends your career at Hell in a Cell. She tells Punk to stay home with Larry but she doesn’t want Punk there. When she beats Giulia, Chicago won’t be Punk’s town, it will be hers.
This isn’t about Punk or Giulia. It is about her.
Punk asks if he can retort but Roxanne says she wasn’t done.
She says she doesn’t care how big Giulia is in Japan, but she is so much bigger all over the globe. She says a wise man once said the would rather be hated for who they are than loved for who they are not.
Punk says that Roxanne is on her way to be hated. He says he loves that she came out to interrupt him. The balls on Roxanne. If anyone can appreciate an overconfident champion, it is her. The chip on her shoulder, he had it too. It was the size of you. Punk says that chip made him the best in the world. That chip (he points at the title belt) makes you the best. Maybe not in NXT, but in the entire WWE. He says he watched Bianca Belair and Iyo Sky on Raw and the entire time, she was thinking about someone who would fit in, Roxanne. Who might be better than these two women? Roxanne. It won’t matter when you get your ass handed to you in Chicago by Giulia.
Punk says he didn’t come here to talk about Roxanne or Giulia.
The lights go out and Giulia makes her way to the ring.
Giulia tells Roxanne the count down is on. You have two weeks left. Guilia starts to walk out of the ring and Punk keeps Roxanne from hitting Giulia with the title belt.
– Sarah is with Kelani Jordan and she asks Kelani if she is ducking Fallon. Kelani says no one is off limits with them and she has a target on her back. She says she will defend her title against women who excel in the ring. She mentions Jordynne Grace’s open challenge and she says that maybe she do an open challenge. Wren Sinclair shows up and she says Charles told her to make an opportunity and she is now. Wren slaps Jordan and runs away.
We go to commercial.
– We are back and Rizzo, Channing, and Luca want to know what is going to with Tony. Tony shows up and they suggest going after Hammerstone or dealing with Oba. Tony says they need to think about all of the angles. Rizzo wants to know what is going on. Luca wants to know what is going on if he isn’t injured. Tony says he is afraid. He says he is supposed to be the Don of NXT and afraid of no one. He says he doesn’t back down from a fight. It is different with this guy. He is a machine and a destroyer. Tony says he can’t beat him. Tony leaves.
Je’Von Evans & Cedric Alexander vs. No Quarter Catch Crew (Tavion Heights & Myles Borne) (w/ Charlie Dempsey & Wren Sinclair)
Evans punches Tavion as the match starts and then he chops Borne. Cedric tags in and he drop kicks Borne and gets a near fall. Borne with a European uppercut and Tavion tags in and they hit a double Fireman’s carry for a near fall. Tavion with an arm bar. Tavion with a fireman’s carry and Borne tags in and Cedric with a drop kick. Evans tags in and he hits an assisted Asai DDT. Evans with a head scissors take down to Tavion that sends him to the floor. Cedric goes to the apron but he stops when Wren holds out her hands like she is in Jurassic World. Evans with a plancha onto everyone.
Evans with an arm drag to Borne into an arm bar. Cedric tags in and he works on the arm with uppercuts and a wrist lock followed by an arm drag into an arm bar. Borne with a slam and he tags Tavion back in. They hit a double back elbow and Tavion gets a near fall. Tavion with a clothesline against the ropes and a second one. Cedric with a back elbow and Evans and Borne tag in. Evans sends Tavion to the floor and hits a back elbow on Borne. Tavion pulls the ropes down to send Evans to the floor and he follows with a clothesline. Borne kicks Evans. Tavion tags in and they hit a double shoulder tackle and Tavion gets a near fall. Tavion with a delayed vertical suplex and he gets a near fall. Tavion with another suplex and Borne tags in and gets a near fall.
Myles with a reverse chin lock. Borne with a knee but he runs into a knee from Evans in the corner. Borne with a power slam for a near fall. Tavion tags in and he gets Evans on his shoulders and he tosses him onto Borne’s knee for a gutbuster and Tavion gets a near fall. Tavion with a forearm and a second one but Evans punches back. Evans with a jumping punch and Tavion blocks Evans’ path to the corner. Evans with a rebound spin kick and he tags in Cedric and so does Borne. Cedric with clotheslines and forearms and a Human Centipede dragon screw followed by a forearm to Heights and a drop kick to the back of the head.
Cedric goes for a suplex on Tavion and Cedric with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Borne knocks Evans off the apron. Tavion with a spear and he tags Borne in. They hit an elevated DDT for a near fall. Borne with a waist lock and Cedric with elbows. Cedric kicks Tavion and Borne with a DDT and Evans with a cross body to Tavion to break up the cover.
Kelani Jordan chases Wren Sinclair and Jordan punches Wren.
Cedric with Lumbar Check and Evans tags in. Evans with a twisting splash for the three count.
Winners: Cedric Alexander and Je’Von Evans
– Vic mentions a tweet from Randy Orton about facing Je’Von Evans in St. Louis.
– Ridge Holland walks in the back and he says he would destroy Chase U. Two down, one to go. Next week, Riley, I’ll be seeing ya.
– Brooks Jensen walks in the back and Shawn Spears wishes him luck tonight. Brooks asks if they are doing this and Brooks asks him if he is with him and Spears says he is.

Brooks Jensen vs. Dion Lennox
They lock up and Brooks with a biel and a second one. Dion with a biel of his own followed by a hip toss. Brooks goes to the floor. Dion with a spinebuster for a near fall. Brooks with a belly-to-back suplex and he punches Dion. Brooks with a spinning heel kick and a suplex. Brooks goes over to Dion’s glasses and he puts them on and he says he can’t see. Dion shows rage when he sees Brooks with his glasses. Dion with punches and a clothesline. Dion with a back body drop and then he stops Spears from taking the glasses. Dion with a rollup and he gets a near all. Brooks with a DDT for the three count.
Winner: Brooks Jensen
– We go to comments from Wes Lee about his vacation in Ohio and he says he had a great time. He got to spend time with family and see some old friends. He says it was taking care of Wentz’ insurance policy. He says it is now going to be one on one. It ends everything in Chicago.
Back to commercial.
– We are back with a video of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory making a challenge to the NXT Tag Team Championships in St. Louis. Frazer and Axiom accept the challenge.
Lola Vice vs. Jacy Jayne
Lola punches Jacy as the bell rings and Jacy with a kick to Lola. Lola with a back heel kick that sends Jacy to the floor. Fallon and Jazmyn distract Lola and Jacy runs Lola into the apron. Jacy sends Lola back into the ring and she punches Lola. Jacy with kicks to Lola. Jacy mocks Lola with the Shakira and she hits a cannonball for a near fall. Jacy with a punch. Lola with a kick and Jacy blocks a kick but Lola with a punch and kicks. Lola with spinning heel kicks followed by Glow kicks. Lola with a running hip into the corner. Jazmyn gets on the apron and Fallon tries to trip Lola. Lola with a back elbow and she gets the three count.
Winner: Lola Vice
After the match, Nyx and Henley attack Lola and punch her. Nyx with kicks to Lola but Lola with an elbow to Fallon. Jacy with a shoulder tackle to Lola and they join in.
Jaida Parker makes her way to the ring and she connects with forearms and a hip to send Fallon to the floor. Jaida sends Nyx over the top rope to the floor. Jaida with a gourdbuster and Jacy is pulled to safety on the floor.
Jaida almost hits Lola and they argue as officials make their way into the ring to separate them.
– Tony D’Angelo is in TRAINING AREA in a red suit and Rizzo shows up and she says she is scared too. Tony says he failed them. Rizzo says it doesn’t matter what they believe, Tony has to keep that fear inside him. Rizzo says it doesn’t matter what they think, Tony will always have the family. She says she knows Tony and she knows he does not believe what he is saying. She says she knows he wants another shot at Oba.
Tony asks what if he loses? She says he tried if he loses. Rizzo says they all believe in him. She tells Tony that he needs to believe in himself.
– Tyrese Haliburton walks in HALLWAY with CONTRACT.
We go to commercial.
– We are back and next week The Grayson Waller Effect will have Axiom and Nathan Frazer as guests. There will be a press conference for the people who will be in Chicago. Riley Osborne versus Ridge Holland. Kelani Jordan defends the North American Title against Wren Sinclair.
– Tyrese is in the ring and he says he has some reinforcement and we see members of the Indiana Pacers and he says he would boo if he was a Magic fan.
Trick Williams comes to the ring.
Trick tells Ethan to come to the ring to sign the contract.
Ethan says he gave Trick and out but he came out to sign the contract. If this is what you want and force him to sign this contract, he will do it. He will put it in a way that they can understand. When it comes to this title, he is the Boston Celtics and when he beats Trick in Chicago, he will be like the Indiana Pacers and the rest of the NBA because they will have to watch him be victorious and carry this title and company.
Page signs the contract.
Tyrese says Trick needs to Whoop that Trick. He asks for the music to play and . . .
CM Punk comes out.
Punk says before he was interrupted by the soon to be former women’s champion, this was the match he wanted to talk about. This match determines the direction of the brand. Two special athletes and two different men with different visions. This match needs something special. Punk says we are looking at the guest referee for the Williams/Page match.
Punk says they can start fighting and they throw punches until they are separated.
We go to credits.
