Update on Bandido’s AEW Return – AEW has seen a number of its stars sidelined throughout 2024, but the company is beginning to welcome many of these wrestlers back. One notable case is Bandido, who has faced an extended recovery from a wrist injury sustained in a June 2023 match on Rampage against Konosuke Takeshita.
Initially diagnosed with a triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) injury, Bandido sought a second opinion before proceeding with surgery the following month. Although early signs were positive and a return seemed imminent, complications arose as the injury did not heal as expected, necessitating a second surgical procedure.
Originally anticipated to return by April, Bandido’s comeback has been delayed. According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bandido has yet to be cleared for in-ring action but is expected to receive clearance soon.
Fans remain hopeful for Bandido’s return as he continues to recover from this setback.
