Sammy Guevara Returns on 8/1 ROH, Saves Dustin Rhodes from Dark Order – Sammy Guevara made his return to television on the August 1st episode of ROH on HonorClub, where he saved Dustin Rhodes from a beatdown by The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds, John Silver, & Evil Uno). This marks Guevara’s first appearance since his February 24th match on AEW Collision, where he lost a No DQ match to Powerhouse Hobbs.
During the ROH segment, Dustin Rhodes had been addressing the crowd about his career journey, expressing his desire to continue wrestling and elevate the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Titles. His promo was interrupted by Evil Uno, who accused Dustin of being selfish and relying on his family name to stay relevant. The Dark Order then launched a physical assault on Rhodes, leading to Guevara’s surprising return to fend them off.
After running off The Dark Order, Guevara extended his hand to Dustin as a gesture of respect. Although Dustin hesitated initially, he eventually shook Guevara’s hand, bringing the show to a close on a positive note.
Guevara’s return and his alignment with Dustin could signal the beginning of a new storyline or alliance in ROH.
