Roman Reigns Scheduled for Back-to-Back SmackDown Appearances – Roman Reigns is scheduled to make back-to-back appearances on WWE SmackDown following his highly anticipated return at SummerSlam. The Kia Center in Orlando, Florida, announced that Reigns will be present at the Friday, August 16, episode of SmackDown. This follows confirmation of his appearance on this week’s SummerSlam fallout edition of SmackDown in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Kia Center hyped Reigns’ return, stating, “JUST ANNOUNCED: Roman Reigns returns to Friday Night SmackDown at Kia Center on Aug. 16! Limited tickets still available, purchase now!”
Reigns had been absent from WWE programming for four months prior to his return at SummerSlam. Now that he’s back, WWE appears to be building towards a Bloodline civil war, with a babyface Reigns set to clash with Solo Sikoa.
During Reigns’ absence, Sikoa declared himself the new Tribal Chief, recruiting Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu into The Bloodline while turning on Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman. At SummerSlam, Reigns made a statement by taking out Sikoa with a Superman punch and spear during the event’s main event. This was followed by Cody Rhodes defeating Sikoa to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.
These upcoming SmackDown episodes mark Reigns’ first appearances on the show since he lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. Fans are eager to see how the Bloodline storyline will unfold, especially with Reigns back in the mix.
