This was further corroborated by sources such as WrestlePurists and Fightful Select, noting that Penta’s contract expires first, with Fenix’s deal ending around September. It has been reported that the Lucha Bros prefer to move as a package deal and are not interested in joining NXT.
Fenix, who last appeared on AEW television during the August 20 edition of Collision, has withdrawn from an upcoming New Era Wrestling event scheduled for September 2nd in El Paso, Texas. This move has led to speculation that it could be related to WWE’s potential interest, as it’s common for WWE to pull wrestlers from future indie bookings when they are about to sign with them.
