Mustafa Ali Parts Done with TNA Wrestling – Former X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali has reportedly concluded his time with TNA Wrestling, according to a new report from Fightful. Ali recently shared a farewell letter to the X-Division on social media following his defeat to TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth, sparking speculation about his future with the company. It has now been confirmed that Ali is wrapping up his tenure with TNA.
Ali first announced his move to TNA in January as part of a post-WWE “world tour,” which has also seen him compete in promotions like NJPW, GCW, Deadlock Pro, and Prestige Wrestling, among others. He made his TNA debut at the No Surrender event in February, where he won the X-Division title by defeating Chris Sabin.
Over the course of his time with TNA, Ali competed in 20 matches, defending the X-Division title eight times across both TNA and various indie promotions. His reign as champion came to an end at July’s Slammiversary event, where he lost the title to “Speedball” Mike Bailey.
Although his time with TNA has come to an end, Ali remains active on the indie circuit and has bookings scheduled through November, including an upcoming trip to Australia.
