Mariah May Captures the AEW Women’s World Title – At AEW All In, Mariah May captured the AEW Women’s World Championship from Toni Storm in a thrilling contest.
In the final moments of the match, May and Storm exchanged powerful headbutts before May executed her signature move, May Day, and went for the pin. Despite Storm kicking out, May reached for the championship belt in the corner, but Luther intervened and snatched it away.
May then attempted to use her shoe as an alternative weapon, but Storm stepped on her hand to prevent the use of the shoe and took possession of it. In a dramatic turn, Storm hesitated to use the shoe against May, which provided May with an opening.
May capitalized on the opportunity, delivering a series of kicks followed by a decisive Storm Zero to secure the victory and claim the AEW Women’s World Championship.
After the match, Storm appeared briefly distraught before taking him the adulation of her adoring crowd in Wembley Stadium. Storm had a good reason to be emotional as she was championing for 281 days and defended the championship seven times since winning it at AEW Full Gear 2023.
