Jay White Expected to Return to AEW After Injury Layoff – Former IWGP Heavyweight Champion “Switchblade” Jay White is on the verge of making his comeback to AEW after being sidelined for over a month due to a foot injury.
White last appeared in an AEW ring on the July 6th episode of Collision, where he faced Hangman Page in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament, ultimately losing the match. The injury not only put White out of action but also led to a significant change in AEW’s plans, forcing his faction, the Bang Bang Gang, to vacate their unified Trios Championships. The group last defended their titles at AEW’s Double or Nothing event.
According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, White is now healthy and expected to return to AEW television soon. However, the exact timing of his return and the creative direction AEW plans to take with him remain unclear.
Fans eagerly await White’s return as AEW looks to reignite the momentum of one of its top international stars.
