8/20 NXT Results – We see Jaida Parker walking through the Most Dangerous Parking Lot in Sports Entertainment.
Sol Ruca and Karmen Petrovic also traversed the lot, but Karmen was not so lucky when Izzi Dame attacked Karmen.
We take a look back at last week’s Tag Title Match.
Duke Hudson, Thea Hail, and Riley Osborne come through the crowd while Andre Chase and Ridge Holland come through the entrance and break the banner.
Andre says it is a new year at Chase University. New students, new classrooms, and new NXT Tag Team Champions.
Thea says she is so proud and Ridge proved that he is Chase U through and through. Duke congratulates Ridge on doing what needed to be done to win the gold. Riley says he gave Ridge flak when he arrived and Ridge has made a believer out of him. Andre says without Ridge, he wouldn’t be a tag team champion. Andre says everyone wants to thank Ridge and we get a group hug.
The hug is interrupted by the former tag team champions.
Frazer congratulates them on the win last week. He says he hates to break up the party but they want to talk to Chase U about something. Axiom says they might have been the better team last week, but Axiom says they are the best tag team in NXT. Frazer says they might have run themselves into the ground over the last few weeks. Ridge picked the perfect time to challenge them. Frazer says . . .
Ridge cuts them off and he says he appreciates the kind words, but he cannot appreciate the interruption of a Chase U moment. They are the underdogs who never give up. That is what Chase U taught him. He says he came to NXT to find himself and the more he looked, the more he felt lost. He had to deal with the whispers and everyone turning their back on him, except for Chase U. Ridge talks about what they did for him. He says he busted his ass for six years to become a champion and it happened last week. Last week was bigger than him. It was about bringing gold to Chase U. He cashed in all of his favors and it is Mission Accomplished.
Axiom says that is lovely but they still want their title match.
Riley says if they want a title match, they have to go through the heart of Chase U. Duke says if they can beat him and Riley, maybe you get a rematch at No Mercy.
Frazer says they accept the match and he says they will see them later.
Duke says they are always ready and take their pants off to reveal their gear.
Match Number One: Duke Hudson and Riley Osborne versus Nathan Frazer and Axiom
Axiom and Riley lock up and Riley with a head scissors and Axiom escapes. Axiom with a wrist lock and Riley leaps over Axiom and hits a drop kick. Riley with a side head lock and Axiom with a hip toss for a near fall. Axiom goes for a cross arm breaker but Riley with a rollup for a near fall. Axiom drop kicks Riley over the top rope and Duke stops his attempt to the floor but Frazer with a missile drop kick to Duke. Riley stops a suicde dive from Axiom and Duke catches Frazer and sends him into the apron. Riley with a flip dive.
We go to commercial.
We are bakc and Riley and Axiom exchange forearms while Duke bounces on the ropes. Axiom with a side head lock and a clothesline against the ropes. Riley with a thrust kick and Axiom with Spanish Fly for a near fall. Axiom with an ankle lock. Duke makes the tag but he stays on the apron for Duke to hit the slingshot German suplex. Frazer tags in and Duke with a handstandcanrana and a Boss Man Slam for a near fall. Duke goes for a Razor’s Edge and Frazer counters into a rana for a near fall. Frazer counters a uranage with an arm drag. Duke grabs Frazer and Riley tags in and goes up top for a Super Diamond Dust for a near fall. Riley lands on his feet on a Shooting Star Press and rolls through. Frazer with springboard Spanish Fly for a near fall.
Frazer goes up top and misses a Phoenix Splash. Frazer runs into a boot and Frazer goes up top and hits a superplex and Axiom tags in for Chasing the Dragon. Frazer with a flip dive onto Duke and Axiom gets the three count.
Winners: Axiom and Nathan Frazer
Stevie and Stone are told by Ava that Karmen is out of the match.
Stevie says she has an idea and Stone yells at her.
Izzi Dame shows up and she says that she should be in the match.
Ava says she isn’t going to reward her for injuring Izzi so Brinley Reece gets the spot.
Stevie says she will tell Brinley but Stone has already run down the hallway.
Brinley shows up in LOCKER ROOM and she is excited to be in the gauntlet match. Kendal says she wants to win. Wren says she is going to bring gold to the NQCC.
Match Number Two: Wendy Choo versus Lola Vice
Wendy with a Thesz Press but Lola with punches. Lola backs Wndy into the corner. Wendy blocks a kick and trips Lola. Wendy sends Lola into the turnbuckles and goes to one more. Lola blocks Wendy’s third attempt and Lola with knees to the midsection. Wendy goes for the Million Dollar Dream and she applies a body scissors but Lola escapes. Wendy with a double thrust to the throat and shoulders. Lola with knees to Wendy. Lola with an axe kick to the back. Lola with a power slam and Wendy rolls to the floor. Lola shakes in the ring.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Wendy chokes Lola in the ropes. Wendy with a snap mare and she twists the neck. Wendy with a head butt followed by punches in the corner. Lola with punches and Wendy with a kick. Wendy with a suplex and she gets a near fall. Lola with kicks but Wendy with a punch and forearm. Lola with an inside cradle for a near fall. Wendy with a thrust kick. Wendy sends Lola’s head into the mat. Wendy chokes Lola in the corner. Lola with punches and Wendy with a kick. Wendy with a swinging neck breaker for a near fall. Wendy with an Irish whip and a cartwheel clothesline into the coner. Wendy puts Lola in the tree of woe and Wendy with a drop kick for a near fall.
Wendy works on the neck and follows with a forearm to the back. Wendy with an Irish whip but she misses a splash and Lola with a rollup. Lola with round kicks and she connects a few times with Wendy. Lola with Speedball kicks. Lola sets for the Shakira hip into the corner. Lola gets a near fall. Wendy wtih a sunset flip for a near fall. Wendy with the Million Dollar Dream and she gets on Lola’s back but Lola sits out to break the hold.
Kelani Jordan makes her way tot he ring and she is about to hit Wendy from behind but Lola hits Kelani with the back fist. Wendy gets the Pillow of Doom and hits Lola with it for the three count.
Winner: Wendy Choo
After the match, Kelani tells Wendy if she wants to take her title she can earn it at No Mercy. Kelani tells Wendy she is getting her title back. Kelani avoids the pillow and Kelani hits Wendy with it and she gets her title out of the pillow.
Kelly Kincaid is with Wes Lee and she asks if there is anything bigger than winning tonight.
Wes says he is going to send Pete back to Raw more bitter than he was before. Joe is here to get the rub and he can go back to Thursdday night. Wes says he will face Ethan at No Mercy.
Sarah is with Joe Hendry.in split screen and he thanks Wes for motivating him by calling TNA a bunch of clowns. He mentions that he became friends with Zach and Trey.
Wes says Joe’s best will never eclipse his worst.
Joe says he has two tough opponents to get past so he can become the number one contender.
We go to commercial.
We see a Fallon Henley video package talking about what she had to do for the chance to make it to WWE. Jacy Jayne says you make it and win championships and appear on PPVs. Then you come to a locker room with D1, D2, and D3 athletes who are there only because they have a social media presence. They don’t care what sport you play. Jacy and Fallon say they are the leaders of the division and one person listens to them.
Jazmyn Nyx says she knows they are the leaders.
Fallon says that her and Jacy worked together to get to WWE and worked on every show Wrestlemania weekend. They say they are the leaders. Jazmyn says they are the Fatal Influence.
Match Number Three: Number One Contender Gauntlet
Segment One: Wren Sinclair versus Sol Ruca
Wren with a rollup for a near fall. Sol with a sunset flip for a near fall. They lock up and Sol takes Wren to the mat. Wren with a wrist lock . Sol tries to reverse the hold but Wren adds more pressure and she rolls through with Sol. Sol with a waist lock into a full nelson. Wren escapes and takes Sol to the mat with a single leg take down. Sol with a take down into a crossface.
We see Roxanne Perez in LOCKER ROOM watching MONITOR.
Wren with a single leg crab. Wren with a bow and arrow and she stretches her. Wren with a kick to the back and she turns it into a standard bow and arrow. Sol counters with a lateral press and she gets a near fall. Sol and Wren take each other down by the hair.
Entrant Three is Adriana Rizzo
Rizzo with a cross body to both women and a forearm. Rizzo with Northern Lights suplexes. Rizzo with forearms into the corner on both women. Sol with a thrust kick to Rizzo and Wren with a rear naked choke on Sol. Rizzo gets on Wren’s back. Sol backs them into the turnbuckles to get Rizzo off and she gets Wren to release the hold. Rizzo with a suplex and Rizzoto for a near fall on Sol. Rizzo sends Wren to the floor and Sol with an inside cradle for a near fall. Rizzo kicks Wren off the apron. Sol with a knee to Rizzo and a power bomb for the three count.
Adriana Rizzo eliminated
Wren with a shoulder from the apron and a sunset flip for a near fall. Sol with an Irish whip and Wren with a boot and a head scissors in the ropes. Wren puts the ring skirt over Sol and connects with forearms. They fight for a back slide and they go down to the mat.
Entrant Four is Brinley Reece
Reece with a double pin on Wren and Sol for a near fall. Reece with more near falls. We have a multitude of roll ups and multi person covers. Reece sends Sol to the floor and connects with shoulder tackles to Wren followed by a slam. Reece with a running shoulder into the corner. Sol with an elbow to Wren and Reece with a shoulder to both. Wren with a near fall on Sol. Sol gets Reece on her shouldes but Reece escapes. Reece goes for a shoulder in the corner but Sol moves.
Sol kicks Wren from the apron and Reece with forearms to Sol. Sol avoids a shoulder and she stretches Reece in the ropes. Wren kicks Sol and gets a near fall on Reece. Reece blocks a suplex by Wren and Sol tries to join in the fun and Reece suplexes both women. Reece with a round off double clothesline to the midsections. Reece with a TKO to Sol and one to Wren.
Entrant Five is Kendal Grey
Grey with a neck breaker to Reece and Fireman’s carries to Sol and Wren. Grey with a head scissors off the turnbuckles and a suplex to Wren. Grey with an arm trapped belly-to-belly suplex to Reece. Grey with a suplex to Reece for a three count.
Brinley Reece eliminated
Grey with a rollup on Wren. Grey with a side head lock to Wren and a head scissors and head lock take down to Sol and Wren. Grey with a springboard cross body to Sol and a crucifix to Wren for a near fall. Grey with a drop kick to Wren and Sol sends Grey face first into the mat off her shoulders. Sol sets for a surfboard. Grey powers out of the hold and Wren with a bulldog for a near fall on Grey. Wren with a hip toss and Sol lands on her feet and she hits an X Factor. Sol tosses Grey onto Wren on the floor.
Sol goes up top and hits a moonsault.
Entrant Six is Jaida Parker
Jaida sends Wren into the ringside barrier. Grey with a lungblower into a rollup for a near fall on Jaida. Jaida rolls through on a cross body but Grey and she runs her into the turnbuckles and puts her on the middle turnbuckle. Jaida with the springboard seated splash and a gourdbuster to Grey for the three count.
Kendal Grey eliminated
Wren with a rollup on Jaida but Sol with Sol Snatcher to get the three count.
Wren Sinclair eliminated
Sol with a kick from the apron and she goes for a springboard move but Jaida catches her and hits a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Jaida goes for a suplex and Sol counters with an inside cradle for a near fall. Sol counters a power bomb into a seated splash for a near fall. Sol with a cartwheel on the ropes and a German suplex. Jaida with a running hip strike for the three count.
Winner: Jaida Parker
After the match, Sarah asks Jaida about the win.
Jaida says she is a difference maker. You might be a great champion but she has next.
Kelly Kincaid is with Ethan Page.
Ethan says they are not going to talk about that man because he does not like that someone not on this team have a title match.
Pete Dunne says that is funny because he has barely been here.
Pete says he was UK champion for over 600 days and when he wins a title he keeps it.
Ethan says he has to get to No Mercy.
Pete says that he will make it to No Mercy and break his fingers and then win the title.
Match Number Four; Hank Walker and Tank Ledger versus Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows
Hank and Karl start things off and Hank with peek a boo punches and he sends Karl into the corner. Tank tags in and hits a splash into the corner and he gets a near fall. Karl with a punch to escape a wrist lock. Karl with more punches. Karl with an Irish whip and Tank floats over. Tank with a running forearm and he tags in Hank. Tank sends Hank into Karl for a seated splash. Hank and Tank with a Malachi Crucnh ad Hank gets a near fall. Hank runs into boots in the corner and Karl with a back elbow that sends Hank to the floor. Luke with a boot to Hank on the floor after making the tag. Luke with punches before returning to the ring.
Luke with a kick and punch and he sends Hank into the turnbuckles and connects with punches and kicks. Karl tags in and gets a near fall. Karl with a top wrist lock an Hank with punches. Karl with a side head lock and Hank with a back body drop. Luke and Tank tag in and Tank with a clothesline to Karl and a splash to Luke. Tank with another clothesline and splash combination. Tank comes off the turnbuckles but Luke was not there so Luke with a boot to the head. Hank pulls Luke to the floor and sends him into the ring post. Tank with a shoulder tackle off the turnbuckles. They hit the power slam and shoulder tackle combination for the three count.
Winners: Hank Walker and Tank Ledger
After the match, Hank and Tank celebrate with Vic and security comes over to celebrate.
Luke and Karl go to the apron and security stands in the way.
Shawn Spears says Brooks Jensen spoke from the heart last week.
Malik Blade and Edris Enofe show up and they tell Shawn that they took advantage of Brooks.
Spears says that he sees two people with potential.
Edris and Malik talk about a friend and Spears mentions Brinley and that angers Malik and Edris.
A brawl starts and we see Spears down holding his shoulder.
We go to commercial.
Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne, and Wren Sinclair are in the ring.
Charlie says Lou Thesz said the only gimmick he had was wrestle. Billy Robinson says wrestling is life. He says it has been three long. grueling months and . . .
Wren says the title is back and she says she does not know Billy Thesz or Lou Robinson are but they must be great if Charles says they are good.
Dempsey says the reign of terror of the D’Angelos is over and they will make the Heritage Cup the most prestigious title.
Wren says Charles will defend the title against anyone and at any time.
Oba Femi interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.
He congratulates Charles on regaining his title. The most prestigious title on this brand is the North American Championship. He says the most dominant champion holds that title. Oba says he has defended this title against so many tough contenders, he will not hesitate to add a Heritage Cup Champion to that list.
Tony D’Angelo’s music interrupts and he comes out with Rizzo, Lorenzo, and Crusifino.
Charlie says he was expecting Tony to come out to challenge him for the Cup.
Tony says he has his eyes on something else and he looks at Femi. He says he doesn’t forget and his family doesn’t forget. They will handle their business.
Luca, Adriana, and Chaning go after Myles, Charlie, and Wren.
Tony and Oba stand in the ring. Tony escapes a power bomb and he gives Oba a spinebuster.
Tony grabs the title belt and he stands over Oba and puts it on top of Oba.
Ashante Thee Adonis walks with some women and he talks about his match with Dion Lennox and they appreciate Dion and they flock to him and Dion asks them for luck.
Je’Von Evans is sitting on a storage case and Wren shows up and he gives Evans the Heritage Cup to watch it.
Gallus walks by and they talk about the Heritage Cup and Mark says it represents real wrestling, not the flipping and bouncing stuff that Evans does. They tell Evans to join them for a pint but Evans says he isn’t old enough.
Cedric Alexander shows up and Joe asks if his daddy has to fight for him.
Evans says he can fight his own fights.
We go to commercial.
Match Number Five: Dion Lennox versus Ashante Thee Adonis
Adonis with a flying forearm into the corner and punches to Dion and he chokes him in the corner. Dion tosses Adonis high into the air and follows with a drop kick. Dion with punches and a slam. Dion with a running clothesline into the corner. Dion with a suplex and Adonis goes to the floor. Adonis kicks Dion in the leg and then kicks him to the floor. Adonis with a twisting splash onto Dion on the floor. Adonis gets a near fall. Adonis grabs Dion by the ear and slaps him and follows with a forearm. Dion with punches and a forearm. Adonis with a kick and Dion with a punch. Dion with a spinebuster for a near fall. Dion with a delayed vertical suplex attempt but Adonis with a thumb to the eye.
Dion with a kick and he goes to the turnbuckles but Adonis drops Dion onto the top rope. Adonis sets for a super kick and he hits it for the three count.
Winner: Ashante Thee Adonis
Lexis King is watching his throne getting cleaned.
Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson walk past and they talk about what Jacy and Fallon said. Lash says they will do their thing in the ring.
Lexis says he guarantees that they will show whoever they are next week. He says as long as the MetaTwo.
Jakara and Lash wonder what he means.
King says Oro lost the biggest match of his career and Noam is on the injured list.
King leaves and Oro shows up.
Oro says he couldn’t get the job done and things haven’t been the same since Noam left.
We are told that Tony D’Angelo will face Oba Femi for the North American Title at No Mercy. Frazer and Axiom will get their rematch at No Mercy.
Next week, we will have a six person mixed tag match with The D’Angelo Family against the No Quarter Catch Crew. Izzi Dame faces Karmen Petrovic. Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson face Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne.
Ethan Page joins Vic and Booker on commentary.
Match Number Six: Wes Lee versus Pete Dunne versus Joe Hendry in a Number One Contender Match
Wes and Pete attack Joe before the bell rings. Pete and Wes exchange punches before the bell rings.
Pete is sent to the floor and Wes is caught by Joe and Joe sends Wes face first to the mat. Joe with a delayed vertical suplex to Pete. Wes with a snap mare and drop kick to Joe. Dunne with a drop kick to Wes and Joe. Pete stomps on Joe’s hand. Pete chops Joe and Joe chops back. The continue the exchange. Pete with a forearm to Wes and he gets Wes up and Wes goes for a sunset flip. Joe catapults Wes into Pete’s ding ding. Wes lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex and Wes with a drop kick. Wes misses a suicide dive on Pete and Pete misses a moonsault when Wes moves. Joe with a slingshot splash onto Pete and Wes on the floor.
Joe with a European uppercut to Pete and he sends him into the turnbuckles. Pete and Joe exchange chops. Wes with a sunset flip to Joe for a near fall. Wes with kicks to Pete. Wes goes for a moonsault but Pete catches Wes in a cross arm breaker. Joe kicks Pete and Joe Irish whips Wes into the corner. Pete chops Joe and connects with a forearm. Pete sends Wes over the top rope to the floor. Pete pie faces Joe and Joe gets a second wind and he punches Pete. Joe with a clothesline or two to Pete and then he avoids Wes and hits a double clothesline. Joe with a fallaway slam to Pete and then he gives one to Wes.
Joe picks up Pete and Wes and hits a double fallaway slam. Pete kicks Joe and Wes kicks Pete. Pete kicks Wes and Pete with a knee and chop to Joe. Lee with a quebrada onto both men. Pete kicks Wes and he goes for a Fujiwara arm bar and pulls at the fingers of Joe but he puts Wes on top and he goes for a double Fujiwara arm bar and finger pulls. Pete with an X Plex to Wes onto Joe for a near fall. Wes with a suicide dive to Joe and a kick to Pete and another kick and a springboard round kick and tornado DDT on Pete for a near fall. Wes goes up top and Pete crotches him. Wes with a frog splash onto Joe for a near fall.
Wes sets for a Cardiac Kick but Pete pulls Wes down and pulls the fingers. Joe with a uranage to Pete but Page pulls out the referee. Joe drops Lee on the apron and Joe choke slams Wes onto the announce table. Pete stomps on Joe’s hand and Joe with a choke slam and Page stops a second official from getting to the ring.
Joe wants to know what is going on and Pete kicks Joe and Pete hits Bitter End and Trick Williams hits Pete Dunne with a jumping knee. The first referee recovers to make the three count.
Winner: Joe Hendry
We go to credits as Zachary Wentz attacks Wes Lee at ringside and security comes out to separate them.
