On the July 5 episode of WWE Speed, Xavier Woods challenged Andrade for the WWE Speed Championship.
They battled back and forth in a hard-fought bout. Woods took control with a dive to the outside and a tornado DDT. Andrade rallied, but Woods fired back with a diving stomp and a leg drop for a two-count. Andrade dodged the Limit Break, but Woods got a two-count with an inside cradle.
In the end, Andrade clinched the win with a back elbow and The Message.
After his match, Woods openly questioned his capabilities for singles competition, reflecting on his recent defeat and perhaps doubting his readiness or skill level in that context.
Woods previously defeated Dijak and Nathan Frazer in the #1 Contender’s Tournament to earn a title shot.
