Stephanie Vaquer Officially Signs With WWE

Stephanie Vaquer Officially Signs With WWE – On July 10, CMLL and NJPW announced that Stephanie Vaquer had removed herself from their rosters, citing personal reasons. Consequently, she was stripped of the CMLL World Women’s Championship and the World Women’s Tag Team Championship. Following these developments, Fightful Select reported that Vaquer was heading to WWE, and sources confirmed her presence backstage at NXT Heatwave.

Shawn Michaels later confirmed the news with a tweet, “Welcome to the WWE Family, @Steph_Vaquer. See you in Orlando.”

The Mexican publication “Record” also shared the news on social media, stating, “The Chilean wrestler, Stephanie Vaquer, will be a new WWE superstar, thus managing to take a big leap in her career.”

Vaquer has had an impressive career since joining CMLL in 2019. She began wrestling for Tokyo Joshi Pro and Sandai Girls and made her NJPW STRONG debut in 2023. She has also performed for STARDOM and Revolution Pro, among other promotions. Her recent loss of the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship to Mercedes Moné at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door sparked talks with both WWE and AEW.

As of now, there is no official word on when Stephanie Vaquer will make her WWE debut. WWE has upcoming house shows in Mexico, with events scheduled in Mexico City on Saturday and Monterrey the following night. These shows will be headlined by Santos Escobar challenging Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship.

Vaquer’s move to WWE marks a significant step in her career, and fans eagerly anticipate her debut in the new promotion.
