CM Punk Screwes Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins, Damien Priest Retains – At the WWE Money in the Bank 2024 Premium Live Event, Damian Priest defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The high-stakes match carried the stipulation that if Priest retained his title, Rollins would be barred from challenging for the championship again as long as Priest held it. Conversely, if Rollins emerged victorious, Priest would have to leave The Judgment Day faction. Earlier in the evening, Drew McIntyre won the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, earning a future title shot.

The match between Priest and Rollins was a hard-fought battle, showcasing the resilience and determination of both competitors. As the contest progressed, McIntyre decided to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, turning the bout into a three-way match. McIntyre appeared to be on the verge of victory, poised to secure the World Heavyweight Championship.

However, in a shocking twist, CM Punk interfered, attacking McIntyre with a chair and then hitting him with the World Heavyweight Championship. This allowed Priest to capitalize on the chaos, delivering the South of Heaven to McIntyre and securing the win.

After the match, Punk sat on the broadcast table, relishing McIntyre’s misfortune. Rollins, visibly furious with Punk’s interference, yelled at him, expressing his anger over the unexpected turn of events. As a result of the loss, Rollins can no longer challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship as long as Priest remains the reigning champion. This also means that Priest will be defending the world title against GUNTHER at SummerSlam. WWE has since confirmed the matchup.

This interference by Punk continued the ongoing feud between him and McIntyre, which intensified after McIntyre brutally attacked Punk on the June 21 episode of WWE SmackDown in retaliation for Punk costing him a match against Priest at WWE Clash at the Castle.
