– We take a look at Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles with a video package. He’s shown walking in the back as we go to commercial.

In the Arena:

Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring. Cody asks Glasgow what do they want to talk about.

He says a few weeks ago he thought AJ Styles would retire.  You don’t want to be ‘that guy’ who overstays his welcome.  The guy who needs one more match or one more run.  AJ, you are starting to look like that guy.

Cody stops to hear the crowd sing his name.

AJ has been given the task, the impossible task of making him say the words…

AJ Styles’ music plays and he comes out with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. AJ says you are really worked up about this.  It is funny that it was this easy to get you worked up.  All he had to do was claim he was going to retire and you got worked up.

Cody asks AJ why is he so far away?  They were supposed to have a conversation.  He tells AJ to leave Horace and Jasper and come into the ring with him. AJ tells Luke and Karl he has it.

AJ says if you want to talk man to man, he wants to remind AJ and the stupid idiots who won’t shut up.

AJ says they are nothing alike.  He reminds Cody and everyone it took him 17 years to get to WWE.    AJ says the idiots don’t want the truth.  They welcomed you with open arms and couldn’t wait to make you a star.  When it got tough, you quit the WWE.  AJ says Cody also quit New Japan.  He also quit Ring of Honor.  He helped start up a company and you quit it too.  He says Cody can’t handle the pressure.  When the going gets tough, Cody Rhodes gets going.

Cody says AJ is right.  He has made some big decisions in his career.  He says he walked away from WWE, he walked away from New Japan, he walked away from Ring of Honor, and he walked away from a company his friends started.  He was never afraid to leave for something better.  He did not quit.  He gambled on himself and he was right.  If he quit, he wouldn’t be holding the most important title in the game.  He would not be the WWE Champion.

Cody says he idolized AJ who did things honorably.  If anyone quit, you are the one.  To get a title match, you had to pretend you were Mark Henry for a night.  You are a resentful coward.  That is a tough pill to swallow, but he will make AJ say I QUIT.

Do you see how natural it is for you to say those words I QUIT.  AJ says he cannot quit being phenomenal.  He says his family would rather have him stay at home and give all of this up.  They are tired of him putting his body on the line.  He says he will tell everyone what he told his family.  He is done when he says he is done.  It won’t be easy.  He saw Cody in Hell in a Cell with a torn pec and you didn’t quit.  You won’t be in the ring with Seth Rollins, you will be in the ring with him.  He says he will do whatever it takes to get that championship.  If it means turning you into a bloody pulp or rip you apart.  I will make you want to say I Quit.
