The Grizzled Young Veterans have had talks with AEW, according to a new report.
The Grizzled Young Veterans had a lengthy run in WWE, as they were in the company together from 2018 until their departure in October 2023. During their time in WWE, they held the NXT UK Tag Team Championship. Since they left WWE, the duo have wrestled for TNA and other companies on the independent scene. They made their AEW debut on the April 27 episode of AEW Collision, where they lost to The Acclaimed. Drake and Gibson have yet to return to AEW.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that, per sources, there have been ongoing contract talks between AEW and the Grizzled Young Veterans. However, as of last week, a potential agreement was not a slam dunk. Sapp writes that AEW maintains interest in the duo.
Drake and Gibson have also wrestled for RevPro in recent weeks. They are the current Undisputed British Tag Team Champions.
