Update on Jesse Ventura's WWE Talks

Update on Jesse Ventura’s WWE Talks – Jesse Ventura is open to rekindling his relationship with WWE now that Vince McMahon is no longer at the helm, but fans shouldn’t expect to hear him calling matches on commentary anytime soon.

The landscape of WWE has evolved significantly in recent years, with Triple H leading creative and Nick Khan overseeing business operations. Ventura’s relationship with the company, particularly McMahon, has seen its share of ups and downs over the years. His attempts to unionize WWE wrestlers in 1986 prior to WrestleMania 2 and subsequent legal disputes with the former chairman have left a complex legacy.

Ventura first gained prominence as a wrestler before transitioning to a role as an announcer for WWE, eventually earning induction into the Hall of Fame in 2004. During a recent appearance on The Vanguard, the WWE Hall of Famer disclosed that he’s been in discussions with WWE now that McMahon has stepped down.

In an interview with Frank Morano of WABC 77 Radio, Ventura revealed that talks have centered around a Legends deal with WWE. Such an agreement would grant WWE the rights to use his likeness for various projects, including merchandise and video games. Ventura highlighted the dwindling number of wrestlers from the inaugural WrestleMania, underscoring the importance of preserving wrestling history.

However, Ventura emphasized that his potential return wouldn’t involve him stepping back behind the microphone. He cited his lack of familiarity with today’s wrestling landscape as a deterrent to resuming commentary duties.
