Tyler Bate to Challenge Ricochet for WWE Speed Title on 5/24 – On the May 22 episode of WWE Speed, Tyler Bate and Apollo Crews battled it out in a fast-paced match. Bate hit a lariat, but Crews evaded the Tyler Driver. They traded blows, and Crews got a two-count with a standing moonsault. Bate then caught Crews with a pin attempt out of nowhere and clinched the win.
With the win, Bate earned a shot at the WWE Speed Championship. He will challenge Ricochet for the title on the May 24 episode of WWE Speed.
Apollo Crews replaced Ivar in the match against Crews, as Ivar was sidelined with an injury. Bate previously defeated Berto on the May 15 episode of WWE Speed to advance to the scheduled match against Ivar.
