Spike in WWE RAW Ticket Sales Following Cody Rhodes Development – The decision to replace Cody Rhodes with The Rock at WrestleMania 40, where he is slated to face Roman Reigns, has sparked criticism among fans. The anticipation surrounding this matchup intensified after last week’s SmackDown, leading to a surge of support for Rhodes within the WWE community.
While WWE has yet to officially announce the Rock vs. Reigns showdown, it is expected to be confirmed during the WrestleMania Kickoff event on Thursday. Despite the controversy surrounding the change in plans, there has been a noticeable uptick in ticket sales for WWE events.
According to insights shared by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE experienced a significant increase in ticket sales within a short span of time. The number of tickets sold for Raw on Friday jumped from 7,600 to 10,000 by Monday night, indicating a heightened level of interest and excitement among fans for the upcoming WrestleMania extravaganza.
“I don’t know. It doesn’t feel like there’s certainly an audience that hates it. But, you know, there was 10,000 people [at Raw], you know, and here’s the other thing, too, is like, whatever they’re doing, it’s sure working. Because, like tonight’s show, just a couple of days ago, they had, like, 7600 tickets out. There are over 10,000 people there tonight. I mean, you don’t move that many tickets from Friday to Monday, ever. So whatever it is, people are buying this thing. They are paying to see it. You know, I think that there’s going to be a ton of people at T-Mobile [Arena] on Thursday.”
