2/2 WWE SmackDown Results – We see The Bloodline walking in the back as they enter the Roman Colosseum, then we move to highlights from The Royal Rumble.

We are live from the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, as Logan Paul makes his way to the ring. Logan says he was going to be nice but he tells Alabama not to do him like this.  He says this place sucks.  He says he underestimated Kevin Owens.  At first glance, he looks like a pissed off doughnut.  He says Kevin made him fight.  Kevin did more damage to him than Floyd Mayweather.  Kevin made him bleed.  He almost knocked him out.  Logan says Kevin still lost.  He says he is one of the toughest people on this brittle roster.

He says everyone gets hurt, but him.  He says he is unbreakable and your United States Champion.  If you think…

Kevin Owens interrupts and he makes his way to the stage.

Kevin says he doesn’t know.  He says Birmingham seems like a great place to him.  He tells Logan to shut up.  You forgot to call yourself an unbearable idiot.  Kevin says he might not have won the title on Saturday, but there was a moral victory because he got to knock out Logan.  Kevin says he is going to take the title from Logan.

Logan says it is too bad you didn’t take advantage of your one and only shot at the title.  He says the brass knuckles were a set up and you took the bait.  Logan says he was playing chess while Kevin was playing Go Fish.  He says he outsmarted Kevin.

Kevin asks Logan who does he think he is outsmarting?  Kevin says these people have been watching him for ten years and he won’t stop at anything to win.  Hit them in the back?  Kick them in the balls?  Hit them with brass knuckles?  He got caught.  He says people are angry at the referee but he did his job and Kevin says he got caught.  He says the referee did a great job.  He says that the next time they get in the ring together, he won’t need brass knuckles to beat his ass.

Logan tells Kevin he is too close and he tells Kevin he is not getting another title shot.  Logan says he will focus on what he does and find a real challenger.  Someone who is not Kevin.  He tells Kevin to worry about Austin Theory and he will talk smack about Kevin on commentary.

Bayley says when she thinks about Wrestlemania, she has done it all, almost.  She defended the Raw Women’s Title, The Smackdown Women’s Title, and the Women’s Tag Titles.  She says she even hosted it.  She says this is different because she didn’t get here on her own.  There were ups and downs, but she had her girls.  She had something she never had before.  They were there for her and they supported her.  They were there for the car rides and they were in the locker room.  They are more than the best faction in WWE, they are family.

When she thinks about Wrestlemania, she thinks about moments and magic.  She says she thinks about the best.  She has to beat one of the best.  That brings her to Rhea Ripley.  Bayley looks at Iyo, Kairi, and Asuka.

She says she can fight a different fight.  Sometimes it is not about having a championship.  Sometimes it is personal and what is in your heart.  It is about proving people they are wrong.  Sometimes it is about people you thought were your friends.  Sometimes you have to prove them wrong.

Bayley asks if they are done laughing.  Bayley speaks to them in Japanese.  She says she picked it up from all the times they talked about her behind her back.  Bayley says she has done it all and seen it all.  Why do you talk about her all the time.  She says she wanted them to be the best and take this to the top and do it together.  You see nothing in her?

She says they were so close when it started, but then Asuka and Kairi came in and you changed.

Asuka and Kairi hit Bayley from behind.  They continue the attack on Bayley.

In the Arena:

Nick and Adam are back in the ring, as Roman Reigns’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring with Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso, and Paul Heyman.

The crowd chants for Cody while we wait for Roman to seek acknowledgement from the people of Birmingham.

Roman says he doesn’t like to recap.  He says he would prefer to move forward but some things were said on Monday that he can’t let slide.  Roman says his little brother Seth Rollins has THE title.  He says he had to think about it.  Roman asks if he beat everyone who competed for that title?  Doesn’t that make them all number twos?  Shouldn’t that be called the Loser Bracket title.  You can walk around for two years in your wife’s clothes and call yourself THE Guy.  You say you are a workhorse but you broke your back trying to carry that show.  You want to attack his schedule?  He says he works less than Seth, maybe ten times less than him.  He says he makes ten times as much.

He asks the crowd if they want Seth money or Tribal Chief Money.

Cody is an idiot and he doesn’t care about the money.  Roman says he won’t bet Cody, like the other guy.  You can be the very best number two in this industry or you can take a crack at number one again.

Cody’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.

We are back and Cody asks for the mic that Paul is holding and Roman allows him to hand it to Cody.

Cody asks Birmingham and Roman Reigns what do they want to talk about.  Cody says he was hoping that this conversation would be a little more private and he asks if they can have the ring to themselves.

Roman allows Solo, Paul, and Jimmy to leave the ring.

Cody says he took a great deal of counsel this week.  He talked to friends, family, and legends.  He says Roman cheated him and he had Roman last year.  Seth Rollins made some amazing points, but he disagreed that the title Roman has being called The Hollywood Title.  It was the title Bruno held and the title his father had in his hands in Madison Square Garden but had it taken away.  Cody says he still wants that title.  Cody asks what is ‘finishing the story’?  He says he heard Roman say that all of this is his.  This ring, the canvas, the ropes, the cameras, the announce desk, and all of you people belong to Roman.

Cody asks if finishing the story is taking the title from Roman or taking everything from him.  Cody says he wants to make it abundantly clear.  He says he wants that title.  Cody says he is moving his goalposts.  He wants everything and he is coming for it and he is coming for Roman Reigns.  He says he is not doing it at Wrestlemania.

Cody says he took counsel.  One of the individuals he talked to know Roman very well.

The theme for The Rock hits and out comes Hollywood big-shot Dwayne Johnson to an insanely loud pop from the Birmingham crowd. The Rock shows off his goosebumps to the camera and heads to the ring as the roar grows.

He settles in the ring across from Cody Rhodes. He sticks his hand out. Cody shakes it. Rock pulls him in and whispers something in his ear for a few seconds. Cody smiles. He tells The Rock the ring is his, exits the ring and heads to the back. Rock stares at Cody as he walks to the back.

The Rock slowly turns and stares at his cousin, Roman Reigns, as his theme music dies down. The fans go nuts. They break out into a loud “Rocky! Rocky! Rocky!” chant. A loud “This is Awesome” chant breaks out as well as Rock slowly closes in and Roman does as well. The two go face-to-face as the credits flash on the bottom of the screen.
