WWE Finalizes WrestleMania 40 Plans for CM Punk – WWE is reportedly moving forward with plans involving CM Punk at WrestleMania 40, with the anticipated matchup being against World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
Teasers have been evident in Punk’s strong merchandise sales since his return to WWE in November 2023 and his involvement in a feud with Seth Rollins. Both wrestlers have mentioned each other on television, further fueling speculation. Punk has also declared himself for this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble Match, providing him an opportunity to earn a championship match at WrestleMania.
As per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the plan for WrestleMania 40 involves a match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins.
Rollins is currently without a booked match for the upcoming Royal Rumble PLE, and there is uncertainty about his status due to an injury suffered in a match against Jinder Mahal on Raw. Rollins has been pulled from this weekend’s live events, with no update on his injury available at this time.
