Mixed Feelings in AJPW Over WWE Partnership – The collaboration between WWE and All Japan Pro Wrestling has made waves, with reports hinting at WWE’s interest in working with other prominent Japanese promotions like STARDOM and NJPW.
During the New Year Giant Series 2024 event on January 3, WWE made a significant move by sending Charlie Dempsey, the son of William Regal, to vie for the Triple Crown Title.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer delved into whether WWE might dispatch more talent to Japan as part of this collaboration. He mentioned that despite some mixed feelings among certain individuals within All Japan Pro Wrestling regarding this partnership, the final decision rests with the President of the promotion. The dynamic between WWE and the Japanese wrestling scene continues to draw attention and speculation within the industry.
“I was told it’s an ongoing thing, although there are certainly people in All Japan who have mixed feelings on it. But right now, that’s the president of All Japan [decision]. And, you know, WWE, they’ve got a deal going right now,” Meltzer stated.
