WWE Sees Promise in Lash Legend’s Potential – WWE capped off the year with a thrilling showcase at the NXT Deadline premium live event, headlined by a highly anticipated match between WWE NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov and Baron Corbin.
The buildup to the main event included the intense Iron Survivor Challenge for both men and women, where Blair Davenport emerged victorious in the women’s category, while Trick Williams claimed victory in the men’s division. Notably, Lash Legend played a pivotal role in the women’s match, showcasing her burgeoning trajectory within WWE.
Lash Legend, known offstage as Anriel Howard, brings a unique background to the ring, having excelled as a former WNBA player following a collegiate basketball career at Texas A&M and Mississippi State. Her WWE journey commenced in December 2020, debuting on TV in a backstage segment the following September. She later became a member of The Meta-Four stable, solidifying her presence in the WWE landscape.
In discussions on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer highlighted WWE’s positive regard for Legend, emphasizing her noteworthy attributes. According to Meltzer, WWE officials hold her in high esteem due to her stature and athleticism, recognizing her as a genuinely formidable athlete, which often carries weight in WWE’s competitive landscape.
“They’re really high on her because she has got size. And I think that that always helps you in WWE. She’s a legit, top-level athlete,” Meltzer stated.
