WWE RAW’s Day 1 Edition Draws High Demand for Tickets – The Day 1 edition of WWE Raw is generating significant anticipation, labeled as a hot ticket for fans. As a result of WWE’s holiday break for talent and crew, a live episode of Monday Night Raw will not be aired on Christmas night. Instead, WWE plans to broadcast a best-of episode for viewers.
However, the wrestling juggernaut plans to return on January 1st with a stacked show themed around Day 1. This echoes back to the inaugural Day 1 event in January 2022, held at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. That historic show witnessed Brock Lesnar clinching the WWE Championship by triumphing in a Fatal-Five Way match against Big E, Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, and Kevin Owens.
Originally intended as a bout between Lesnar and Roman Reigns for the Universal title, Reigns’ COVID-19 positive test led to a change in plans. This event’s inception was attributed to WWE President Nick Khan.
WrestleTix, known for diligently tracking ticket sales, reports a strong ticket demand for the upcoming show, with 10,585 tickets sold and only 132 remaining for a setup of 10,717. Ticket sales in the past week have soared by 434. Comparatively, the previous WWE event at the venue, a July 4th episode of Raw in 2022, drew 6,121 fans.
A lineup of anticipated matches is already taped for the upcoming show. This includes World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins defending against Drew McIntyre, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley facing off against Ivy Nile, Becky Lynch squaring off against Nia Jax, and a Women’s Tag Team Championship number one contenders match between Natalya & Tegan Nox and Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark.
The buzz surrounding the event, coupled with the impressive ticket sales, sets the stage for a highly anticipated and action-packed Day 1 edition of WWE Raw to kick off the new year.
