Three More Matches Announced for NXT Deadline – Ava Raine made several appearances backstage on the December 5th episode of NXT on the USA Network. Initially, she confirmed the addition of a Steel Cage Match between Roxanne Perez and Kiana James at the upcoming NXT Deadline 2023 event.
Later in the show, Raine reappeared in a backstage segment alongside Carmelo Hayes. Hayes clarified to Trick Williams that he wasn’t involved in the setup for the attack on Lexis King weeks ago, stating that he discussed this with Raine to arrange a match between himself and King at NXT Deadline 2023.
Hayes expressed his intention to prove his lack of affiliation with King, prompting Trick to reassure him that Hayes would open the show on Saturday and close it triumphantly.
Additionally, the episode featured Axiom vs. Nathan Frazer, which was interrupted due to the brawl among the competitors of the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge. Subsequently, Axiom vs. Nathan Frazer was confirmed for the NXT Deadline Kickoff Show scheduled for the upcoming Saturday night.
