CM Punk & Ace Steel Under Lifetime NDAs, Confirms Lawyer – It seems that the non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) linked to the altercation involving CM Punk, Ace Steel, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega at All Out 2022 are notably stringent. According to lawyer Stephen P. New, who represents CM Punk and Ace Steel, these NDAs are bound indefinitely, meaning Punk, Steel, and New won’t be offering any commentary or insights into the incident due to these legal constraints.
During a discussion on the Wrestling With Rip Rogers podcast alongside Von Lilas, New clarified that the NDAs are so comprehensive that neither Punk nor Steel will be addressing or elaborating on what unfolded during or after the media scrum at All Out 2022.
New mentioned an exception, highlighting that Ace Steel’s wife, Lucy, is not bound by the NDA. He hinted that Lucy Steel might hold the potential to share the story someday, as she isn’t restricted by the confidentiality agreements that bind Punk and Ace Steel from discussing the incident.
Expressing support for Punk and Steel, New praised them as exemplary individuals, not just within the wrestling industry but across all spheres of life. He affirmed his unwavering commitment to standing by them.
Following the altercation, Punk faced suspension, while Steel was terminated. Punk later returned for AEW Collision’s debut, and Steel was brought back in a producer role. However, Punk was dismissed in September after an incident involving Jack Perry backstage at All In. Subsequently, Punk made his return to WWE, whereas Steel continued work as a producer for Impact Wrestling/TNA.
