WWE and CM Punk Are Not in Talks – Fans eagerly anticipating CM Punk’s return to WWE might need to temper their expectations as it appears that such a comeback is not on the immediate horizon.
There have been conflicting reports recently about whether Punk and WWE were in discussions regarding his return. Initial reports indicated that while no deal had been finalized, both parties were engaging in talks, with Survivor Series in Chicago speculated as a possible return date for Punk.
However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has reported that, according to people he has heard from, CM Punk is not planning a return to WWE.
A higher-up within WWE emphatically stated, “Any reports of CM Punk signing with WWE are completely false,” and further added that, as of October 10th, there are no ongoing discussions within the company about a comeback for Punk. This statement was meant to clarify the situation for fans who may have been anticipating Punk’s presence at Survivor Series.
Additionally, WWE sources insist that there are currently no negotiations taking place between WWE and Punk. One source acknowledged a previous report that Punk had expressed interest in WWE and suggests that Punk might have been waiting to see if WWE would initiate contact.
In response to the recent teases related to Punk on WWE television, both the higher-up and a prominent WWE talent have indicated that many of these teases are not pre-approved and might be the actions of individual wrestlers, possibly aimed at getting a reaction from CM Punk himself.
