Rumor Killer on WWE's Interest In Re-Signing The Velveteen Dream

Rumor Killer on WWE’s Interest In Re-Signing The Velveteen Dream – WWE has no intentions of bringing back Patrick Clark, formerly known as The Velveteen Dream.

Rumors had circulated on social media suggesting that Velveteen Dream had been attending therapy sessions and making progress, along with a reported visit to the WWE Performance Center on Monday night.

However, Fightful Select reports that Dream has not signed with WWE, and a higher-up within the company has stated that WWE has no interest in re-signing Patrick Clark at this time. The same source indicated that a truly shocking turn of events would have to occur for WWE to reconsider.

Fightful has reached out to several sources at the WWE Performance Center, all of whom have not heard any news about Dream, let alone seen him there. They expressed surprise at the idea of WWE bringing him back.

One WWE star who was at the Performance Center on Monday clarified that there are two separate buildings, and they noted that it wouldn’t be surprising if Dream showed up during a production meeting at a different time.

Patrick Clark faced controversy in 2020 when he was accused of inappropriate contact with minors. At that time, he released a statement claiming he was working with authorities to resolve the situation. Following these allegations, he made only a few appearances on NXT TV, with his last match occurring against Adam Cole in December 2020. Additionally, he reportedly had backstage issues with several individuals in NXT due to his behavior, and he was subsequently released from WWE in 2021.

The Velveteen Dream had faced previous allegations, including filming fellow wrestlers in the bathroom without their consent, arrests, accusations of recklessness in matches, wellness policy violations, and other issues during his time in WWE.
