CM Punk Won’t Pursue Legal Action Against AEW – According to a report from Haus of Wrestling, CM Punk does not have any ongoing legal disputes with AEW President Tony Khan following his release, which had been a subject of speculation after his departure. The report also indicated that Punk is eager to steer clear of further legal matters and move forward with his life.
Nick Hausman wrote: “From what I gather, Punk is looking to avoid any further litigation and move on with his life. He was described to me as someone breathing a (sigh) of relief now that he is away from the day-to-day drama that seemed to follow him at AEW.”
It remains uncertain whether AEW and Tony Khan are contemplating legal action against Punk.
As for the possibility of a return to WWE, it’s still unclear whether either the company or Punk is interested in such a move. However, it was reported that Punk had shown openness to the idea back in December while he was on a break from AEW.
One source remarked that the internal excitement about Punk as a potential free agent is not as intense as it was when Cody Rhodes was rumored to be available. Another source emphasized that WWE might not necessarily require a high-profile signing, given the popularity of their current product.
Multiple sources have emphasized the potential for “WWE and Punk collaborating if mutually beneficial terms can be negotiated.”
