8/21 WWE RAW Preview

8/21 WWE RAW Results – We begin with a look at The Judgment Day from last week and the problems that they may or may not have.

We are live from the Centre Videotron in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, as Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring. The theme dies down and the loud “Sami! Sami!” chants break out, followed by a sustained roar from the Canadian crowd. Zayn soaks in the atmosphere and loud “Ole! Ole!” chants spread throughout the building. Zayn hulks up like Hulk Hogan and the roar grows.

A fired up Zayn says his first words, in French Canadian, at 10 minutes past the hour. After saying one sentence, the theme for The Judgment Day hits and the crowd boos. We’re nearly a quarter of an hour deep and literally nothing has happened yet. Yikes!

The Judgment Day surrounds the ring and try and intimidate Zayn, but he informs them that he didn’t come alone. The theme for Kevin Owens hits and the crowd goes bonkers as “The Prize Fighter” comes out and hits Stunners on anything that moves. The tag-team champions of WWE are back in force with Owens’ return.

Owens gets on the mic and says it’s been far too long since he’s had a match on Raw. He challenges any two members of The Judgment Day to face he and Zayn in tag-team action later on tonight. The crowd likes the idea.

In the Arena:

Miz says Maryse would never come to Quebec City since she is from Montreal.  Miz says on Friday night, LA Knight lost an opportunity for a US title match and everyone is blaming him.  On the big show there is no room for excuses.  Things happen.  Champions know that.  Rock messed with his match against John Cena but he still won the match.  He says he is not a trend.  He evolves.  In twenty years, you will remember me as a trend setter and a Wrestlemania main eventer.  Twenty years from now, you will remember LA Knight as a blip on the radar, a human fidget spinner.  LA Knight is not on his level.  Miz says he was allowed to hand pick his opponent and it is someone quicker and more dominant than anyone Knight has faced.

In the Arena:

Becky says she has Trish Stratus in a steel cage at Payback.  Over the last few months of this rivalry there has been talk about who is the best and the greatest.  It comes down to legacy.  What are you in control of and what are you not in control of.  Can you turn those lemons into lemonade.  Her legacy will not be defined by wins or championships, it will be defined by survival.  You can beat her and put her on the shelf for months, but she will always come back.  Not because she is unbeatable, but because she is unstoppable.

Becky says she is unstoppable not because she always wins, but because she always fights.

Her and Trish will go into a steel cage but there is some business left with Zoey Stark.

Trish Stratus’ music interrupts and she comes out with Zoey Stark.

Trish says they have been dealing with USA-holes so to be in her native country of Canada… Trish says she should be saying merci beau coup Quebec.  She says she does not know how to say how it feels to be in Quebec City… because it means absolutely nothing.  She says it isn’t like this is Montreal or Toronto.  Trish points out that the Leafs made the playoffs.  Trish says she wouldn’t be here if this sourpuss wasn’t running her mouth.  She would have been like Trudeau and split.

Becky says Trish looks scared.

Seth says Nakamura caught him off guard last week when he brought up the back injury.  Seth says he doesn’t like to talk about it publicly.  If he wants to be open about it, he says he has two fractures in his lumbar spine and he has been living with that for more than 4 years.  He says it does not get better and it only gets worse.  Seth says he doesn’t know how long he can do this at the level he is currently going at.  He says that is part of the gig.  If Nakamura wants to bring it up and target it.  If he wants to play mind games, that is fine.  If Nakamura wants to bring his family into it, he better be prepared to face him man to man.  You aren’t here tonight are you Shin?  You are in a TV studio a thousand miles away too afraid to face him.

Seth says he will give Nakamura one more chance to play your mind games and prove that you are an honorable warrior.  I am not a hard guy to find.  I’ll be in the center of that ring, dressed to the nines, title around my waist with the whole world singing his song.
