WWE SmackDown Results (5/26) – Tonight’s WWE SmackDown begins with a look at last week, when Sheamus silenced Austin Theory with a Brogue Kick.
Sheamus vs. Austin Theory for the United States Championship
They lock up and Sheamus backs Theory into the corner and Sheamus with a front face lock. Theory with a side head lock. Sheamus with a shoulder tackle. They have a test of strength and Theory with a kick. Sheamus blocks a hip toss and connects with a clothesline. Sheamus with punches and a European uppercut.
Theory with a slingshot rolling drop kick that sends Sheamus to the apron. Theory has Sheamus in the ropes and he tries for the forearms but Sheamus blocks it and he connects with elbows. Sheamus gets Theory on his shoulders but Theory gets to his feet and he sends Sheamus into the ring post and hits a back drop driver onto the apron.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Theory with forearms to the back. Theory with a kick to the shoulder and he gets a near fall. Sheamus with a back elbow and a boot to the midsection. Theory with a back elbow and he gets a near fall. Theory with a sleeper. Theory with a punch and a rolling blockbuster for a near fall. Theory pie faces Sheamus a few times and Sheamus is not happy about it. Sheamus gets back to his feet and he head butts Theory and follows with punches. Sheamus with a kick and a running double sledge or two. Sheamus with a clothesline into the corner followed by an Irish whip and clotheslines. Sheamus gets Theory on his shoulders but Theory escapes. Sheamus with a uranage back breaker for a near fall.
Theory with a sunset flip for a near fall. Sheamus with a tilt-a-whirl power slam for a near fall. Sheamus gets Theory on his shoulders and climbs the turnbuckles. Theory gets to his feet and he hits Sheamus in the back. Theory with more forearms to the back. Theory gets Sheamus on his shoulders for Three Seconds Around the World for a near fall. Theory goes to the apron and he goes for a slingshot rolling move but SHeamus with a jumping knee and he gets a near fall. Theory rolls to the apron. Sheamus sets Theory in the ropes for the forearms across the chest but Theory counters with a thrust kick. Theory gets a chair and he brings it to the apron but Ridge takes it from Theory. Sheamus grabs Theory while Theory yells at the chair absconder. Sheamus with many forearms across the chest.
Sheamus sets for the Brogue Kick, but Pretty Deadly attack Butch and Ridge at ringside and then Sheamus punches Elton and hits many forearms to Kit. Theory with a rollup and a handful of tights for the three count.
Winner: Austin theory
Backstage:
Roman Reigns, The Usos and Solo are in the office and Roman wants Paul Heyman to tell Jimmy and Jey something. Paul says that since they won’t be in Saudi Arabia, they will be allowed to appear in the ring for the 1000 day celebration. Jimmy says he doesn’t know what Roman’s issue is. Jimmy says he is hungry and he is going to leave.
Roman tells Jimmy he cannot leave and to sit down. Jimmy refuses to sit down so Roman stands up and he stares at Jimmy. Roman tells Jimmy to do something and make it happen. He wants to know what is different because nothing has changed. He tells Jimmy to remember when they were kids. He whooped him then and will do it now. You will respect him, obey him, and acknowledge him. Jey gets up and tells Jimmy they will see Roman next week.
We go to commercial.
Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi vs. Bayley and Iyo Sky
Raquel and Bayley start things off and Raquel sends Bayley into the corner but Bayley gets out of the way of a splash. Iyo tries to interfere and it allows Bayley to send Raquel into the corner. Raquel pushes Bayley and Iyo away and she tags in Shotzi. The four women pair off and Raquel and Shotzi send Bayley and Iyo to the floor. Shotzi with a dive through Raquel’s legs onto Bayley and Iyo. Shotzi gets a near fall on Iyo. Raquel tags in and she punches Iyo and connects with a series of shoulders. Bayley tags in but Raquel goes for a choke slam on Iyo. Bayley clips Raquel and Iyo with a drop kick and Bayley gets a near fall.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Bayley chokes Raquel in the ropes. Iyo tags in and she drop kicks Raquel in the ropes. Iyo with a wrist lock. Bayley tags in and Raquel with a back elbow to Bayley and a punch to Iyo. Bayley grabs Raquel but Raquel gets free and tags in Shotzi. Shotzi with an elbow in the corner followed by a bulldog. Shotzi with a knee and rolling elbow. Shotzi with a suplex that sends Bayley’s feet into the ropes. Shotzi with a back senton to the back against the ropes for a near fall. The referee warns Iyo and Bayley rakes the eyes and tags in Iyo. Iyo and Bayley with a running double thrust kick for a near fall. Bayley with a forearm to Raquel and Bayley follows to teh floor. Iyo stomps on the foot but Shotzi blocks a kick. Iyo with a kick to the head.
Shotzi escapes a butterfly suplex. Shotzi with a tiger suplex for a near fall. Raquel pulls Bayley out of the ring and Raquel tags in. Raquel piks up Iyo and Shotzi goes to the turnbuckles but Iyo sends Raquel into the turnbuckles while Bayley knocks Shotzi off the apron. Raquel runs Iyo into the corner and Bayley tags in. Bayley goes for a sunset flip off the turnbuckles but Raquel does not go over. Iyo with a back senton off the ropes but Raquel falls onto Bayley for the three count.
Winners: Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi

Ashante Thee Adonis vs. Cameron Grimes
Cameron says he must have been born under a lucky star because of how things are working out. He won his debut in near record time and he is going to go TO THE MOON.
Grimes with a head lock and shoulder tackle. Grimes with a head scissors and kick to the head. Grimes with an elbow drop for a near fall. Adonis backs Grimes into the corner and he connects with punches. Grimes floats over on an Irish whip and Dolla trips Grimes and that allows Adonis to his Grimes from behind with a Northern Lariat. Adonis with an Irish whip and drop kick for a near fall. Grimes with punches and Adonis goes for a belly-to-back suplex but Grimes lands on his feet and hits a series of running forearms. Grimes with a head scissors take down and he sets for Cave In and hits it for the three count.
Winner: Cameron Grimes
After the match, Baron Corbin attacks Grimes from behind on the stage.
– Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair makes her way to the ring.

In the Arena:
We are back and Bianca says tomorrow at Night of Champions she will be defending her title against Asuka. This is not the same Asuka from Wrestlemania. She respected that Asuka because she wanted the title. Bianca says she can respect that because she knows how good it can be to be your Raw Women’s Champion. This Asuka wants more than her title. Bianca says if Asuka wanted a rematch, all she had to do was ask. She had to wait until Bianca got to her home town to mist her in front of her family and friends. If once wasn’t bad enough, she did it twice. Bianca says she helped Zelina and her hands are still green and her eyes are blurry.
Bianca says her mind has never been more clear. Bianca says she is not just giving Asuka a match, she is giving her a fight.
Asuka interrupts and makes her way to the ring from behind and she attacks Bianca.
Asuka with a cross arm breaker on Bianca. Officials come to the ring to separate them and hold their arms out. Asuka and Bianca get away from their security and Bianca goes for KOD but Asuka lands on the officials and goes to the floor.
– We see Kevin and Sami in the back as they talk about something.

LA Knight vs. Rick Boogs
Before the match starts, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins make their way to the ring.
Boogs with a clothesline and a biel. Knight goes to the floor and Boogs follows. Boogs punches Knight and then he presses Knight over his head and drops Knight on the announce table. Boogs sends Knight back into the ring and Knight kicks and punches Boogs. Boogs sends Knight into the corner. Boogs with an Irish whip and he charges into the corner and misses with a shoulder and hits the ring post. Knight with a kick and then he hits a running knee into the corner. Knight chokes Boogs in the corner. Boogs wit a back elbow but Knight sends Boogs to the mat. Knight misses a knee drop when Boogs moves. Knight with a front face lock. Boogs tosses Knight away. Knight goes to the turnbuckles and Boogs catches Knight and hits a back drop. Knight with punches. Knight with kicks but Boogs drives Knight to the mat. Boogs with a gutwrench suplex. Boogs goes for a pump handle slam but Knight rakes the eyes and hits BFT for the three count.
Winner: LA Knight
After the match, Knight tells Ford and Dawkins that he knows they are talking trash about him. He says he took out the trash and he says Montez and Angelo’s times are coming. You aren’t going to get the smoke, you are going to get smoked.
Backstage:
Karrion Kross says a stubborn man only sees one path before him. When they become consumed by a singular goal, he misses out on the danger around him. You shouldn’t be asking yourself if you can beat Seth Rollins, you should be asking yourself what condition will you be in after you face Karrion Kross.

– We are back with a video package for Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.
AJ Styles vs. Karrion Kross
Kross punches AJ at the start of the match and he sends AJ face first into the middle turnbuckle. Kross with a clothesline and elbow in the corner. Kross with an exploder but he misses a splash. AJ with a drop kick and punches. AJ with chops as well. The referee warns AJ about the ropes but AJ with a drop kick. AJ with boots to Kross in the corner. Scarlett grabs AJ’s leg when AJ goes to the apron. Kross with a thrust kick and a kick that knocks AJ off the apron.
Mia Yim makes her way to the ring and Scarlett runs away and Mia follows.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Kross chokes AJ in the ropes. We see footage from the commercial break when Kross ran AJ into the ring post. AJ with punches and chops. Kross with a back elbow. Kross gets a near fall. AJ with elbows to Kross followed by punches and more chops. AJ with a Pele Kick. AJ with a flying clothesline into the corner and he tries to get Kross up but Kross escapes. AJ with a Pele Kick and sliding forearm. AJ gets Kross up and hits an Ushigoroshi for a near fall. AJ goes to the turnbuckles for a tornado DDT but Kross stops him and Kross with a Northern Lights suplex and he rolls through into a vertical suplex for a near fall. Kross winds up for a Kross Hammer but AJ avoids it.
AJ with kicks to Kross and he sets for a Styles Clash but Kross pushes AJ away. Kross sends AJ to the apron and AJ with a forearm. AJ with a Phenomenal Forearm for the three count.
Winner: AJ Styles
We go to commercial.
– We are back and Kayla asks AJ about momentum going into tomorrow’s match. AJ says Seth can be many things, but he cannot be Phenomenal. I will beat Seth and become the first World Champion.
– We run through the matches for Night of Champions and have a few video packages.
– The KO Show is up next, after another commercial.
The KO Show:
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens make their way to the ring for the KO Show.
Kevin welcomes everyone to the Kevin Owens Show. Kevin agrees with Sami and says it is the Kevin and Sami Show.
At Night of Champions they defend their titles against Roman and Solo. Before they do it, they have a few things to get off his chest. Kevin brings out his guests Solo and Roman.
Paul Heyman interrupts and he says it amazes him how you don’t get the plot around here. Roman does not come out when you want him to come out. Roman comes out when he decides he wants to . . .
The Usos interrupt Paul and make their way onto the stage and they walk past Paul and go to the ring.
Jey asks why are they talking like it is all good. They didn’t forget what happened last week. You are too worried about tomorrow you don’t see what is in front of you.
Kevin stops Sami from talking and he says he has this. Kevin tells Paul a spoiler. He knows Roman wasn’t coming out but it doesn’t matter because he wanted to talk to Jimmy and Jey. Kevin says Sami still cares about Jimmy and Jey and he doesn’t get it. After everything that has happened, Sami says they deserve better but Kevin says he doesn’t care.
Kevin tells Jimmy and Jey to acknowledge this. Sami has been right about everything the whole time. He has been right about the way Roman has treated you and that you deserve better. Kevin says Roman can call himself the Head of the Table as much as he wants, but he is looking at the heart of the table in front of him. What would the Bloodline be without you? You are treated like you are the appendix of that table. He treats you like you are disposable. He uses you. You don’t do anything unless Roman tells you to. Kevin asks what do you think when you look in the mirror and realize you went from being the greatest tag team in WWE history to Roman’s errand boys.
Jimmy says that is cute. You are standing in front of the greatest tag team. He says he is the tribal chief.
Roman Reigns’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring, but he is not joined by his tag team partner at Night of Champions.
Roman looks at Jey and he tosses the mic away. Roman moves over to Jimmy and he takes his mic and throws it aside.
Sami tells Roman that it is over and you know it. The Bloodline is collapsing and it is all your fault.
Roman knocks the mic out of Sami’s hand.
Kevin kicks Roman and hits a stunner.
Kevin and Sami square off with Jimmy and Jey. Kevin punches Jimmy against the announce table. Sami with an exploder to Jey. Solo with a Samoan Spike to Sami and then to Kevin.
Roman tells Solo to pick them up. Roman throws the furniture to the floor and then he hits a spear on Sami.
Roman and Solo stand on one side of the ring and Jimmy and Jey stand on the other side with the tag title belts.
Jey offers the belts to Solo while Roman wants them from Jimmy and Jimmy does not give them to Roman. Jey tries to take them from Jimmy but Jimmy holds on. Jey eventually gets them from Jimmy and hands them to Roman. Solo gives Roman all of the tag title belts.
We go to credits.
