WWE SmackDown Results (5/19) – We are live from the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina, as Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman make their way to the ring.
We see what happened last week on Smackdown and the announcers wonder if that is why The Usos are not with Roman, Solo, and Paul.
Roman is handed the mic, like Jim Brown would have been handed the ball on the field of Municipal Stadium. Roman says that isn’t how we start things here. Roman asks Columbia to ACKNOWLEDGE HIM.
Before Roman can say anything else, he is interrupted by Kevin Owens’ music, which transitions beautifully into Sami Zayn’s music and the WWE Men’s Tag Team Champions make their way to the ring.
Roman says this is perfect. They seem excited and this was his plan all along, to bring them out here. There are two things to do and let’s get that done now. Columbia acknowledged him and then you can do it and then leave the tag titles and see your way out.
Kevin tosses the mic away and tosses the title belt down because he wants to fight, so Roman puts Solo in position.
Roman says it figures. Fight Owens Fight. You aren’t here to talk. They don’t want to talk to him. Roman starts to address Sami. Roman says he has had a special career. He experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Roman says he had one regret and that was wasting his life on Sami.
Sami says that is funny and he says he has one regret and that is not blasting you sooner with the chair. We haven’t been in the ring together since Montreal. I didn’t think I would have this chance and now your greed has led us to this moment. Sami says he has nothing to say to Roman, except . . . your whole life everyone told you were the best and you got everything you wanted. Now you want the tag titles. Sami says Roman is not going to get the tag titles. Sami says he is going to tell Roman why. You are not as good as us. For that matter, you aren’t as good as the Usos either.
Roman has an increduluous look on his face and he asks Sami how that is how he feels. Roman says he took it easy on Sami. He gave him opportunity after opportunity…
Jey Uso attacks Sami while Kevin goes after Jimmy on the floor. Jimmy and Jey with a double super kick to Sami.
Jimmy and Jey get in the ring and Roman refuses to shake hands with Jimmy. Roman tells him that wasn’t his plan. Roman bumps into Solo and then leaves the ring. Solo appears not to be happy…
We go to commercial.
Backstage:
We are back and Roman is in his room and Jey is trying to explain what they did. Roman yells at Jey for talking about things they do. Roman says he had something he wanted to say. Roman says he gave a good part of his career and life to that fool and now he can’t say it. Because you had to do what you had to do. Roman says is the one who keeps them on top and he makes the choices. Roman tells Jimmy and Jey to get out.
– We see footage of Pretty Deadly earlier tonight showing the recipe for their success. They say the most important ingredients are one Elton Prince and one Kit Wilson.
The Brawling Brutes vs. Pretty Deadly
Butch and Ridge Holland are ready to go, while Sheamus joins the commentary table.
Kit and Butch start things off and Butch with a clothesline. Butch with forearms and Kit sends Butch to the mat. Elton tags in and they kick Butch and hit a double sledge combination. Butch stomps on their hands and hits a double drop kick. Butch with a forearm in the corner and Ridge tags in. Butch with a drop kick while Ridge holds Elton. Ridge goes for a delayed vertical suplex and Elton tries to stop him with knees but Ridge hits the suplex. Kit tags in and hits a DDT.
We go to commercial while Pretty Deadly pose.
We are back and Kit tags in and hits a back elbow in the corner. Elton tags in and Kit with a punch and a double shoulder tackle. Kit and Elton with a splash and leg drop combination for a near fall. Elton with a forearm to the back and he gets a near fall. Elton slaps Ridge and Ridge punches back and then connects with European uppercuts. Ridge with a POUNCE and Kit tags in and he stops Ridge from making the tag. Kit with a sleeper and he gets on Ridge’s back to add more pressure. Ridge dives to the corner and makes the tag. Butch tags in and hits a drop kick on Elton and follows with German suplexes. Butch with a knee drop to Elton and then he stomps on Kit’s hand and hits an X-Plex for a near fall.
Kit kicks Butch and goes to the turnbuckles. Butch with an enzuzigiri and he goes to the turnbuckles to punch Kit. Ridge tags in and he runs Elton into Kit and gets both of them on his shoulders and he drops them to the mat. Butch and Ridge with forearms to Kit and Elton. Elton backs Ridge into Butch in the corner and Elton frees himself from the ropes to hit Spilled Milk and then Elton goes backc into the ropes while Kit gets the three count.
Winners: Pretty Deadly
– Michael Cole mentions the passing of Superstar Billy Graham and we have a video package.

Asuka vs. Zelina Vega
Zelina Vega is asked about her match with Asuka. Zelina says when she got the love from her people in Puerto Rico, she belongs with the top dogs. Nothing matters. When I gave my all with Rhea Ripley, I showed that I can go with the best of the best. Asuka will see that she is ready.
Vega with a rollup and a round kick to the head. Asuka goes for the pop up knee but Vega avoids it and gets a near fall. Vega with a kick and she misses a 619 when Asuka goes to the floor. Asuka with a round kick to the temple on the floor and then she hot shots Zelina on the announce table.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Asuka kicks Zelina in the head and then kicks her away again. Zelina blocks a kick and connects with forearms. Asuka with an Irish whip and Asuka blocks a kick but Zelina kiccks Asuka away and follows with a drop kick. Vega with a drop toe hold that sends Asuka into the ropes. Zelina with a 619 and she goes to the turnbuckles and does the Eddie Shimmy before hitting Meteora for a near fall. Asuka blocks a crucifix and a Code Red. Zelina stretches Asuka and then gets a bridge for a near fall. Asuka goes for the Asuka lock but Zelina floats over and gets a near fall. Asuka stretches Zelina with a wrist lock and Zelina quits.
Winner: Asuka
After the match, Asuka does not release the hold and Bianca’s music plays and she makes her way to the ring. Asuka leaves the ring and Asuka tries to go after Bianca but Bianca stops her. Asuka spits mist but it does not get in her face.
We go to commercial. The Grayson Waller Effect is next.

We are back with the Grayson Waller Effect.
Waller welcomes everyone to the first Grayson Waller Effect on Smackdown. He brings out his guest, the man who face Seth Rollins at Night of Champions, AJ Styles.
Grayson mentions that their paths crossed in NXT. Waller says he thought about what AJ said to him about trying to be Phenomenal for 20 years. Waller says that AJ is a first ballot hall of famer. Next week, he has a chance to add one more accolade. He asks what does winning the title mean.
AJ says he has been out of the ring for the longest time in his career with this most recent injury. He wanted to get back. He got cleared and he came after it. No one ever trained harder than him. He knew that there would be an opportunity. This opportunity to be World Champion. I wanted it more than the air he breaths. AJ says Seth is on a movie set and AJ says he is happy for him. Surely, he is exercising and doing the training so he can be ready. AJ says he is.
Waller says AJ’s match is the one he is looking forward to the most. Waller says he is looking forward to them announcing Seth Rollins as the new champion.
AJ is not happy and he gets up from his chair and he gets face to face with Waller. They exchange words but nothing happens.
Backstage:
We go to the LWO party room and they talk about the Usos. Santos says Rey is a hall of famer and Latinos around the world need to know about them. Wilde says people need to see how great Rey and Santos are. Rey says the Usos will find out what happens when you mess with the LWO.
We go to commercial.
The Street Profits vs. LA Knight and Rick Boogs
LA Knight has a mic on the stage and he wants to talk to you.
He says that he was looking for titles and that means the tag titles. He says he saw the Street Profits come onto his territory and he feels that he can beat them with anybody and he is going to lead this team to a W with Rick Boogs.
Boogs and Ford start things off and Ford marches around the ring and then tries for a shoulder tackle but he bounces off Boogs. He tries again with the same result. Ford goes for a cross body and Boogs catches him. Boogs presses Ford over his head and does some reps and then tosses Ford into the corner. Dawkins wants a piece of Boogs and he tags in. They lock up and Dawkins with a side head lock and Boogs with a shoulder tackle. Boogs with pump handle curls followed by a fallaway pump handle slam. Knight tags in and they hit a double shoulder tackle. Dawkins with a jaw breaker and Knight with a power slam. Knight goes for a leaping elbow drop and hits it for a near fall.
Boogs tags in and they have some mixed signals and they go for a double belly-to-back suplex but Dawkins lands on his feet and Ford tags in. Ford with a cross body to both men followed by a clothesline to Knight and kicks to Boogs and an enzuigiri. Ford sends Knight to the apron and Ford with an enzuigiri. Boogs knocks Knight off the apron and Ford clotheslines Boogs over the top rope. Ford with a flip dive and Dawkins tags in. Dawkins hits Sky High and Ford tags in and hits the Seven Star Frog Splash for the three count.
Winners: The Street Profits
After the match, Knight helps Boogs up, but not to console his opponent but to kick him and hit BFT.
– We take a look at the continued decline of Baron Corbin with his one move loss to Cameron Grimes.
Backstage:
Megan Morant is with Cameron Grimes in the back. She asks him what is next. Cameron says if he was told he was going to be part of one of the fastest matches in WWE history, he would not believe you. What happened last week will not stop him from going straight to the top. Grimes says he wants to go TO THE MOON.
– Jimmy and Jey Uso are in the back as Jey does semi-circles behind his brother.

Backstage:
We are back adn Karrion Kross says they say justice is blind. He says he is the imminent threat to justice and they don’t know. He asks Allen if he knows and Scarlett shows a card of AJ Styles. Kross says TICK TOCK.
We take a look at Cody Rhodes’ comments to Brock Lesnar from Raw.
Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre vs. Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon in a Non Title Match
Fyre and Leon start things off and she punches Leon and then tags in Dawn who ties up Leon in the ropes and Fyre with a kicck. Dawn with a running knee strike. Feroz tags in and Dawn press slams her. Dawn with a running knee strike and Fyre tags in. Fyre with a Gory Bomb and reverse DDT combination for the three count.
Winners: Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn
– We take a look at what happened last week in the Women’s Tag Title Match when Liv Morgan suffered an injury. The tag titles have been vacated. In two weeks, Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey will face Bayley and Iyo Sky as well as Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville as well as Raquel Rodriguez and a partner of her choosing.
Backstage:
Raquel Rodriguez says that Liv is still a champion. She says handing over the titles was the hardest thing in her career. She says Liv is not replaceable. Bayley and Iyo Sky show up and Bayley wants to mention Dakota Kai, who also got hurt. Bayley tells Raquel that if she can find a partner for next week, they will be waiting for her.
– Austin Theory makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.
In the Arena:
We are back and Austin welcomes everyone. He says coming to Smackdown last week was not respected. He wants to talk about what happened last week. He was ganged up on by two former World Champions, Bobby Lashley and Sheamus. Both of them know they would have beaten Seth Rollins and become the new World Champion. He says he is trying to figure it out. He understands Bobby Lashley. He has a weird obsession with him and Bobby is jealous.
He does not understand why Sheamus is after him. They are both tough and strong. They both beat John Cena. Theory says he did it this year at Wrestlemania while Sheamus did it 12 years ago when Theory was only 13.
Sheamus makes his way to the ring. Theory asks Sheamus if he has something to say when Sheamus goes for a mic. Sheamus with a Brogue Kick and he drops the mic before leaving the ring.
Backstage:
Jimmy and Jey Uso are getting ready for their match and Paul Heyman says he has it under control. Paul says Roman forgives him. Jimmy asks if Roman will be at ringside and Paul says Roman won’t be out there. Paul says there is a lot to be the Tribal Chief. He has to go to Night of Champions to… to make a declarative statement. Then two weeks from tonight, the 1000 night celebration. You are facing the LWO. You hae this victory… don’t make it ia prediction but make it a spoiler. Jimmy and Jey go to the ring.

– We are back and next Friday there will be a press conference for Night of Champions.
– On Smackdown, Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns will be guests on the KO Show. Raquel Rodriguez and TBA will face Bayley and Iyo Sky. AJ Styles faces Karrion Kross. Sheamus faces Austin Theory for the US title.
Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar vs. The Usos
Jey and Rey start things off. Jey runs Rey into the corner and he connects with shoulders. Jimmy tags in and they punch Rey. Jimmy with an uppercut. Jimmy with an Irish whip that sends Rey sternum first into the turnbuckles. Jimmy gets Rey on his shoulders but Rey gets to his feet. Jimmy with a kick and Rey with a kick of his own. Santos tags in and Rey with a sunset flip and then he sends Jimmy into a Santos kick on the apron. Rey sends Jimmy to the floor and Santos sends Jey to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Santos punches Jimmy and then he knocks Jey off the turnbuckles. Jimmy keeps Santos from making the tag.and he sends Santos into the turnbuckles and gets a near fall with a rollup.
We see Roman, Solo, and Paul watching MONITOR in LOUNGE.
Jimmy punches Santos in the corner and chops him. Jimmy with an Irish whip and Santos with a drop kick out of the corner. Jey tags in and he stops Santos from making the tag and he connects with an uppercut to Rey. Santos with an inside cradle for a near fall. Santos with punches to Jey and Jey with a back elbow. Jimmy tags in and he punches and kicks Santos in the corner. Jimmy with a running hip into the corner. Jimmy sets for another one but Santos with a Harley Race knee. Jey and Rey tag in and Rey with punches and a head scissors take down. Rey is sent to the apron and Rey with a forearm and he goes up top and hits a seated splash and a springboard cross body for a near fall.
Jey with a thrust kicck and uppercut. Rey with kicks and a Code Red for a near fall. Rey kicks Jey and Jimmy with a kick from the apron. Jey with a pop up neck breaker for a near fall. Jimmy tags in and they set for a double suplex but Rey escapes and they both go to the floor when Rey moves. Santos tags in.and hits a flip dive onto Jimmy and Jey. Jimmy with a dragon whip but Santos wit a running knee. Santos with a running double knee strike in the corner followed by a hurricanrana from the turnbuckles for a near fall. Santos kicks Jimmy in the ropes and then Rey tags in and hits a leg drop off the turnbuckles for a near fall when Jey breaks up the cover.
Jey super kicks Santos off the apron. Rey sends Jey to the floor. Jimmy with a super kick and Jey tags in and hits a frog splash for a near fall. Jimmy tags in and Jimmy and Jey go up top but Kevin Owens comes out and Santos with an enzuigiri to Jey and Sami pushes Jimmy off the ropes. Rey with a 619 and he tags in Santos. Rey with a seated splash off the apron to Jimmy. Santos with a frog splash for the three count.
Winners: LWO
We cut to a very disappointed Roman Reigns in LOUNGE, where Solo Sikoa is ready to go out to get some revenge. Reigns tells Solo to stay as we go to credits.
