WWE Made A Big Last-Second Creative Change To RAW – Last night’s WWE RAW featured the fallout from the Night of Champions PLE in Saudi Arabia, featuring Seth Rollins beating AJ Styles in the tournament finals to crown a new World Heavyweight Champion.
They did an opening segment to set up their tag team main event match with The Judgment Day, where the babyfaces went over. PWInsider has news and notes coming out of the show.
Rollins is expected to be at all RAW events going forward after missing the past two weeks due to his filming commitments for Marvel Studios’ Captain America: New World Order.
PWI reports Styles appearing on the show was “a last-second creative decision as “Styles was not originally slated for Raw and actually flew home upon returning to the United States on Sunday.”
Fans have been criticizing WWE for having Styles, a SmackDown star, appear on RAW just weeks after the Draft. Fans were also criticizing WWE for using SmackDown talent for a tournament to crown a top champion on RAW.
