WWE Adding LA Knight Match to Night of Champions? – Although the card for Saturday’s Night of Champions PLE looks to be finalized, WWE could be announcing at least one more match to the lineup.
Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa vs. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships, AJ Styles vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar are the top matches booked for the show.
As previously reported, Omos, Street Profits, Karrion Kross, LA Knight, and Rick Boogs have all traveled to Saudi Arabia for the show despite not having a match announced.
While most of these stars are there for promotional reasons, Knight and Boogs could have a match booked for the show.
Insider account @BoozerRasslin reported that Knight was “super over with the Saudis” and WWE is “discussing adding him” against Boogs “during Kickoff.” The account later added that WWE doing a kickoff show match for the event is an exception to WWE not doing pre-show matches and is still a maybe.
If the match takes place on the pre-show, it would be the first kickoff show match to happen since Backlash in 2018, with Ruby Riott going over Bayley.
The account previously stated that “a push is in the books 100%” for Knight.
