Opener And Main Event For WWE Night Of Champions Revealed – WWE is pushing three main events for this evening’s Night Of Champions PLE and has yet to confirm which bout will close the show.
Those main event matches are Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar, Undisputed Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa, and Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles for the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
According to PWInsider, the opening match has been confirmed to be Rollins vs. Styles to crown the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
The reason for this is that Seth Rollins will be flying out of Saudi Arabia immediately to resume his “Captain America: New World Order” movie commitment.
Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes match is being set up to be a short match because Rhodes has a storyline “broken arm” that could be a setup for a rubber match next month or at a future PLE this summer.
PWInsider is reporting that the plan is to close out the show with the Undisputed WWE World Tag Team Title match that will feature Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defending against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa.
