Cody Rhodes Calls Out Brock Lesnar And Roman Reigns In Fayetteville – Earlier this week, it was announced that Roman Reigns would be in action on Saturday in Fayetteville, NC, for a house show where the arena promoted that it would be Reigns’ first time wrestling in the city in more than four years. WWE even took out radio advertising for a few days in the market, building the show around Reigns.
However, on Wednesday, WWE issued a statement noting that Reigns won’t be appearing and that ticket holders would be refunded if fans want them until 7:30 p.m. the day of the show.
During the show, Rhodes faced Finn Balor in a street fight. After the match, Rhodes called out Reigns, who had been accidentally advertised for the live event by WWE, and Brock Lesnar.
“My theory is that the reason that Roman Reigns didn’t want to be here is because he is afraid of me. And that theory also extends to my opponent at the Night of Champions, Brock Lesnar. I’ll make you a promise. The next time I come back here, my promise is this. I hope to have defeated Brock Lesnar not just once but twice. And I also hope that I’ll be wearing some gold around my waist. Thank you, guys, very much,” Rhodes stated.
