Chris Jericho Wore Controversial Britt Baker Shirt On Dynamite – Chris Jericho joined the commentary team during the first match on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, wearing the controversial Baker’s shirt that showed the black eye she suffered at the hands of The Outcasts.
The wearing of the shirt fits in with Jericho’s heel character since it can be played off on TV as him mocking her but in real life, Jericho and Baker are friends.
After the match, we saw Adam Cole attacking Jericho. After a break, Jericho was complaining backstage when Britt Baker walks up and smacks him. He falls down and again yells at security to “get them off of me!”
The shirt drew some criticism over the weekend from those that feel that it depicts or mocks domestic violence. Others pointed out that if it was a man with a black eye, some of those critics would not be so vocal about the shirt. While you can argue about whether the shirt should be worn a public setting, it should be pretty clear to everyone that the shirt is not meant to condone or mock domestic violence. Baker’s shirt ended up being the top selling item on AEWShop.com over the weekend.
