World Tag Team Title Match Set For AEW Double Or Nothing – FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) will defend the gold at AEW Double or Nothing.
Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal previously challenged the champions to a title match, as they scored singles wins over Harwood and Wheeler. On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, FTR came to the ring to respond to the challenge, and when they were confronted by Jarrett, Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh, Harwood said they would accept the challenge if the group admitted that they were using Mark Briscoe to get to them.
Briscoe himself came out and announced that the title match was booked for AEW Double or Nothing, and he would be the special referee. When he tried to get the two teams to drink together, he took a misdirected piledriver from Harwood after Dutt spit in Dax’s eyes.
Harwood and Wheeler won the titles by dethroning The Gunns on the April 5 episode of AEW Dynamite.
