Vince McMahon Addresses Scandals And Mistakes – The big news in the wrestling world today is regarding the sale of WWE, and it’s merger with the UFC.
The company was purchased by Endeavor, with Ari Emanuel serving as the CEO of the new merged company, and Vince McMahon acting as the CEO.
McMahon returned to WWE back in January with the intent to orchestrate a sale of the company following his ‘retirement’ in July.
McMahon retired amid allegations of sexual misconduct and hush money payments to former employees amounting to around $20 million.
Speaking on CNBC, McMahon spoke about the allegations and mistakes which led to him leaving the company last year.
He said:
“I’ve made mistakes, obviously, personally and professionally through my 50-year career. I’ve owned up to every single one of them and then moved on.
“I’m not sure of the legacy stuff. I’m not going to write it. I don’t know. I want to say, as someone who had an extraordinary amount of fun, great passion for what they did and wound up with the biggest deal he’s ever done in his life.”‘
McMahon then went on to claim that, even if the scandals didn’t happen, he would have agreed to make this deal, calling it the ‘best thing to happen in a long long time’.
