The Street Profits On Being Drafted To WWE SmackDown

The Street Profits On Being Drafted To WWE SmackDown – The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) previously starred on WWE SmackDown, and they moved to RAW in the 2021 WWE Draft.

The former RAW Tag Team Champions, who once swapped their titles with The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) when they were drafted to SmackDown, challenged for the gold multiple times since their return to Raw, but they failed to regain the championships.

Ford and Dawkins were selected by WWE SmackDown on the first night of the 2023 WWE Draft. They subsequently scored a win on the same show; on the April 28 episode of WWE SmackDown, the duo defeated the LWO (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde) and the team of Braun Strowman and Ricochet.

In a SmackDown Digital Exclusive, Dawkins and Ford commented on their move back to the blue brand. When asked whether SmackDown was ready for the smoke, Dawkins made it clear that they’re coming for every tag team on the show.

“I mean, that’s a question they gotta ask themselves because we always ready for the smoke. When we come back to SmackDown, it’s gonna be a little smoke-a-cation being handed around to every tag team around here, you know what I’m saying? Oh yeah, by the way, where are my manners? [Los Angeles] Lakers in six. But yeah, the Street Profits are back, we back on SmackDown, we back in blue. You already know what it do because the Street Profits are up, and we want the smoke,” Dawkins said.

Ford sang, ‘We want the smoke” throughout the rest of the interview, and Dawkins continued, “We taking y’all to church on Fridays. I want you to look to your neighbor and say, ‘Neighbor…’ what [Ford] said.”

Ford and Dawkins will stay on WWE RAW a little longer; the WWE Draft rosters will take effect on May 8.
